Sounds as though there will be a decent contingent of UNA fans making the trip. Be sure to show them Montana hospitality and buy them a round (or 3) when you see them.

Also, if you've never been to Florence, Alabama (and you probably haven't), google some images. It's a beautiful town with great architecture right on the Tennessee River, along with a couple of nice lakes (thank you TVA!). If you ever get there, be sure to hit the River Bottom Grille.

+1

If you’re a music fan, music in the dark days before the empire that is, check out Muscle Shoals as well.

Alabama is a beautiful state filled with good people. So is Montana. I am blessed to be born in one and by the grace of God live in another. I know they will be treated well here.

"Welcome to Washington-Grizzlies Stadium. Thank you for bringing us a victory!"

Definitely buy them a round after the game!

Welcome to all UNA fans, players, coaches and staff!! Enjoy your stay and be sure to try some of the vast array of liquid refreshment Missoula has to offer!

The Shoals is pretty sweet area. You'd never know there was a stadium there as you take backroads to get there, then all of a sudden there is a stadium! Florence was the host for the D2 national championship game for many, many years, until Kansas City took over a handful of years ago. Aaaah...the memories hahaha.

And let's treat EWU fans right, too. You know they treat Griz fans right, with the "filthy wet phatties" and all.

If only I could smuggle myself into the belly of the plane and come up to enjoy the great game. Really wish this was a home and home. When I first moved down here 10 years ago I was definitely pleasantly surprised by how beautiful Alabama is and how friendly the people are.

I will try to stop by the Mo Club and buy them a round (or 3) and put in on your tab. We good here? :thumb:

Yep!

Little known fact here. EVG has one of only bar tabs that can be seen from space, and thrives in cold & loud.

Word on the street is that he doesn't have a bar tab, but for some reason, the people he's drinking with always have a larger bar tab than they expected. I can't confirm or deny this - it's just a rumor.

Would you guys shut up? I'm intensely concentrating while trying to decide who to charge this drink to.

Hmmmm....Ursa it is!!

I probably should have clarified. I was making no representation, expressed or implied, as to the sources of “bar tab” funding or parties involved. Frankly, with as much alcohol as is consumed in these instances, it’s difficult to make any representation other than a good time is usually had by all before an inevitable return to the EVG wing of Schick Shadel.

I did my part. Took 2 couples, who were parents of the kicker/punter and long snapper, over to Reinell's for some beverages.
