Travon Van

Well, they said Mr. Van would be "breaking ankles" all year. Next man up.

In all seriousness, Canada was the only bright spot on Offense today. Break the stalemate in this running back competition and make him the starter for good. Once he sees that the coaches trust him, he will really find his rhythm and take his play to the next level. Look out!
You're joking right?

Offense will completely change without him and not for the better. Get Mr. Miyagi out there and fix that leg like he did Daniel son.

One person does a team not make. Plenty of talent on this TEAM to make things happen. United and confident they will conquer. Go Griz!

Talked to him during the end of the game, he was standing in front of the north endzone by the tunnel. He said it was a high ankle sprain and that he "will be alright." I don't know if alright means next week or a few weeks though, but seemed positive.
High ankle sprains take a long time to heal and often come back, it is almost impossible to tape or support the sprain, so it usually needs to heal completely before a player is considered recovered, but players often return early and re-injure themselves. It also usually greatly affects a players speed and cutting ability until it is fully head.

Just pointing out that a high ankle sprain is not something that is usually brush off. Of course a lot depend on the severity of the original injury.

All these injuries suck ass.

Having our Bye in the very beginning of the year really sucks ass as well. Going to be a grueling run to the end of the season with no breaks to heal or regroup as needed.

Not that you can control when it happens but it would be nice to have one around 1/2 way of the season.

It sucks that Van is injured, exciting player. It doesn't bother me as much as it seems to some, it's an injury to a position where we have depth. Once/if we see Counts splitting reps with Canada, mark my words you will be on the Joey Counts bandwagon. He should have got more touches against Cal poly, the kids a beast. Van is the most explosive back we have, but Counts and Canada will do a great job gaining 5 or 6 yards up the middle, to set up play-action like this offense needs against EWU.

Still confused about the Counts thing. Especially now with Van being sidelined. A big part of the advantage when he was in was keeping the D guessing between him and Canada, or at least the run if that makes sense. Would like to see Counts some more just to keep them wondering.

Hopefully Travon gets completely healed before he comes back. Big game this weekend, but bigger ones down the road if we want to make a push in the playoffs.

I believe this is the last play where the injury may have occurred.

Nothing to really be confused about. Delaney likes oatmeal with no sugar, cream, fruit or nuts. Just plain oatmeal.

Counts is about as oatmealy as they come. Furthermore, is oatmealy a word?
