Travis' Salary Package for this Season

I remember, after last years loss to Michigan, that he signed a new 3 year deal where the base was $175K plus incentives. Why doesn't the U increase ticket prices by $1 and that goes to the coaching staff? In 16-17 the Griz averaged just above 3900 and with 14 home games that is 56,400. That could sweeten the pot for the staff. Do it by $2 that is 112K to help keep coaches around.

Putter, if it was only as simple as that what you suggest. I don’t know all of the incentive packages available but I do know he gets extra for his wins, NCAA appearances, academic achievement, graduation rate and I think there is a few more. I think he’s package deal is worth just a little south of $300,000.

Wash ST. just gave Kyle Smith $1.4 million per year for 6 years.....Better think about raising that price by about $15 per ticket cuz Cal will give him at least what Smith got from Wazzu.....

After DeCuire turned it down......sometimes it’s more than dollars

I agree. It was just an example thrown out. There has to be more ways that can actually be implemented to help Montana with coaching salaries.

It easy. Sell Beer at the games. After expenses, money goes to coaches. More butts in the seats, more wins, and coach might stay!

For argument’s sake... What would it take for UM to sell beer at b-ball games?

All it would take is thirsty folks with cash in hand looking to have a relaxing evening!

And, a long row of pissoirs in the hallways ... with an endless line of sloppy, stumbling pigs going back and forth in front of you.

Not a bad idea, but I believe under the current model that all concessions go to main hall rather than athletics.

Beer money is not $1 of tax money. Change the concession model. If you want to keep coach, get creative. There are ways

Then how do you support the items currently being supported by the current model?

Main hall keeps the standard concessions. Coaches get beer sales. Sell it at all sporting events. You know that $600k shortfall? It’s gone!
