I was at the game. I don't know if the safeties played deep, but that had nothing to do with the great running back running all over us. The wildcat doesn't run wild because safeties are deep. Jeez, how dumb are you about football. Yes, I played football in the 50's and the 40's, but at least I played. Obviously, you have never played. Probably not even flag football.

Assuming you were 18 in 1949 ( really the youngest you could be to play college ball, as far as I know), you’re implying you were born in the early 30s?
