Your idea of a "fan" is something I do not identify with. If being a "fan" is losing my objectivity regarding Grizzly athletics, then i'll leave that to you "good fans" who don't have a grasp on reality.

If you would be honest, you would admit that I say PLENTY of positive things about the Griz, both football and basketball. But, I also try to bring levity to a board that is filled with sugar-coaters, who are incapable of discussing anything perceived as "negative" about Grizzly athletics. I can not deal with people who claim to understand sports, but would are so one-sided with no objectivity. This shows me that they are pedestrian fans, and should just stick to being fans, without attempting to discuss the X's and O's of sports.

There is nothing wrong with being a pedestrian fan. Just don't spew vitriol at me for having the gonads to be objective. End of story!

If he thinks he's going to be treated more "gently" at Wazzu though he's got another thing coming. I'd heard he didn't really respond to the challenges of strengthening ones mental fortitude.

I'd heard he didn't really like being a Montana Grizzly period. Didn't get along with the other players, didn't like Missoula etc. Nothing wrong with a kid going back to his home state to play for the school he actually has an emotional connection with. My guess is he chose Montana over Wazzu initially because he felt he would get to play early (which he would have if he stayed). But the reason he left is not because of playing time or the depth chart.

No loss. You never want a kid who does not want to be here. We saw enough of that "greater than thou" attitude with Roper.

You are correct, I only started a few games. I batted .278 in my two years at UM, with zero home runs, 5 doubles, and one triple.

You are right. There is way too much BS in most football threads. The basketball threads are actually pretty clean. Too bad you are not a basketball fan. :thumb:

Don't think Malik Watson was ever offered a scholarship. Sounds like he was under the impression that if he wanted to play for lowly old Montana, we would for sure take him and be jumping up and down with joy as he would surely compete right away to start. That is the mentality of a some out of state athletes when viewing Montana. I knew a couple former basketball players from out of state that both ended up transferring and they both told me they fully expected to come in to Montana, be the star recruit, and immediately be in the mix to start as a true freshman.

He actually is talking about San Jose State now, who have an opening with Forcier not making the grade.

I don't think it has anything to do with grades or test scores. He has a 3.79 GPA and said he did quite well on his SAT. I honestly believe he read eGriz a little too much. Thought he was a shoe in to come to MT if that was what he wanted. And then the Griz never actually offered. I still wish we would offer him cause I think he could be a dang good QB here.
