Home field advantage, cold weather, number 2 ranked in the country, a QB who is an NFL prospect and spent most of the year putting up video game numbers....

E.Illinois didn't lose because they were unprepared or didn't give their best effort, they were not outcoached. They lost because Towson was a better team on the night.

Winning is damn hard! And that is why I always feel so lucky to be a GRIZ fan because we have done it better than anybody for so long. I feel like Coach Delaney when he said the other day that he wished they could start practicing for next year right now, can't wait to get at it again. GO GRIZ, thanks for 2013, FCS champs in 2014!
 
Damn fun game to watch. West is a total STUD! Towson may do some damage going forward!
 
E. Ill. lost because of the weather. They weren't dressed properly. When they were still warm at the beginning of the game, they scored 2 straight TD's. When they warmed up at halftime, they scored again. 3850 attendance. Fans also didn't like the weather. The southern team from Baltimore was better prepared for the weather and better coached. The Towson rb who gained 356 yards was obviously dressed properly for the weather.
 
it was 30 degrees warmer than the griz game, greenie - and still, many of the players wore ponchos.

They won because of their awesome O line that blew a bewildered and undersized D line of EI away. The whole D was whipped and physically out manned and unable to wrap up against West. EI QB looks to be the real deal ala Tony Romo in his day. Their O line was what we were hoping for this year but seldom seen.
