Towson beats EWU

I'm just guessing your an eagle hater as you pick us to lose every game, so in that sense, I feel good your picking another eagle loss. Please pick EWU to lose to NDSU! We win every game you pick us to lose. Too late chief you can't change your mind now, LOL! Also, for what it's worth, the Griz are one hell of a program. :thumb:

Let's just say that there is a lot more to the story than you guys simply "winning" games this season. If EWU beats Towson, it will finally be on the merits.

I hope Eastern wins. I have a feeling West will present some headaches for the EWU defense, but THE eags can track meets teams if necessary, and are built to come back if need be. I wouldn't count on your crowd bein a home advantage, but of course, i guess the inferno itself is. Until they get that damn track out of there and move the EWU stands closer to the field, AND, get some genuine fan interest for a FULL season, that stadium will never prsent what I call a hostile enviornment.

Adams, Cupp, and Baldwin create a pretty hostile environment... If only 20 people showed up, Eastern would still go out and put on a show. They don't care.

They can't put this game on ESPN or ESPN2? That's bullshit, it's not like there are a bunch of games this weekend. What a joke.

Putting the Cougs bowl kickoff at the exact same time as EWU's kickoff is a joke...

We will struggle to fill the stands this week...

In other news, the sun is set to rise in the east for the rest of ever.

the eags win this one with ease....put a spy on west to slow him down and gang tackle after the point of contact by the spy.....defense is offense in this sense...eags win by 14.

Been there, done that (I assume) ... did not work.

It’s true that West ran through Eastern Illinois. Towson gained 472 yards rushing (with West getting 354), and the team only passed for 115 ... because they wanted to keep the ball out of Jimmy Garoppolo’s (Walter Payton Award winner) hands.

However, they have more than that. Against Fordham, West had only 76 yards -- perhaps because the Rams concentrated on stopping him -- and Towson had 189 total rushing yards. They lit it up through the air, however, with 301 yards passing.

Against JMU (the last conference game), West had a 100-yard game, all right, but Towson only gained 111 yards rushing, total. They won the game on defense and through the air, with 171 yards passing.

Can Towson match EWU in a pass-heavy game? I don't think so. IMO, Towson's best chance to win this game is ball control. Not expecting them to run through EWU, but keeping Adams sitting on the bench is probably their best defense.

nice try id's, all these teams are not ewu, fordham? nope, JMU? nope, EIU? ranked higher but played a flat game without any pressure on west....so again, will not be ewu's game plan that is why i am expecting a different outcome.

EWU wins big. I don't think people realize just how good they are. NDSU rolls as well, and Then EWU might just be the team to take down NDSU in Frisco. Alpha, you're welcome for the solid info.
