5 of the 22 are SDSU players

No big surprise because those SDSU players were really, really good, and the SDSU coaches were really well prepared and made adjustments. That said, I hope that the Griz hall of fame will host the tattered and torn #99 jersey that Gub wore against them because SDSU had to really maul him to get those 23 points in the chipper.

This is one of the best ideas I have heard in a long time. That Jersey belongs in there to forever remember Gubner and his tireless, gargantuan effort for this team.

I wholeheartedly agree Elrod, Gub was a "unicorn" player whose skills might not be replaced by 2-3 players in the coming years. I cannot recall if Gub ever missed a single game due to injury in his Griz career, and would rarely come off the Field for more than one series before going back into the game. Was often double-teamed and sometimes triple-team blocked by opponents.
Plus he led the team in interceptions his frosh year.

Gub will forever be one of my favorite Griz players. He's on my Mount Rushmore of Griz Defense at this point.

If memory serves, he led the entire Big Sky Conference in that category. In any event, his picks were one of the things I really liked about him. I also will miss shouting “Hallo Guv’nr” in my really bad Co.ckney accent each time he creamed some poor offensive players on the other team.

Wish I'd have thought of that.....
