Top 5 Griz QBs of all time

Edwards has more career passing yards and TDs than Miller or Ochs.

Nobody won more games in a 4 year stretch and he has a NC Ring. He also threw far less INTs than anyone else mentioned on any list so far.

I guess I should have added you can do away with wins rings and stats and just pick your favorite 5.

I should know that's what you get when you try and talk football on here.

You weren't trying to talk football, you stated an opinion and some people disagree with your opinion. You want to talk football? Instead of cherry picking a few stats, put up the formula you used to come up with your list. Career wins are important to your criteria? How important? Having a ring is important? How important? Should we go by yards/game, TD's/completion? Does being a four year starter rate higher than being a guy who only played a year or two?

I’m gonna go:

1) Sneed
2) Johnson (JJ, not the guy from SDSU)
3) Cliff
4) Kris Brown
5) Throwper

You got the first four correct. Number five should be a tie among many.

Neill should have played more, but his old man didn’t have $$$ for turf.

After Ed Steiner decided keep the ball and not hand off to Brian Magnusum (1st team all American) on the goal line against the cats and we lost . I think not. I assume you’re your kidding. 😀👍 Go Griz

WRONG!

The correct answer is;

Dickenson
Ah - Yat
Ochs
Johnson
Miller

Were one to continue on this course, the correct answers for 6-10 would be;

Bennett, Lebo, Sneed, Edwards, and Pease.

Thank you for playing and better luck next time. ;)

I like this in general, but JJ isn't a top 5 for me, and Sneed is a little too high.

1. Dickenson
2. Ochs
3. Ah Yat
4. Miller
5. Sneed

Miller was not a better overall QB that the three above him, but he was the best pure passer we've ever had. Don Read was quoted (I'm paraphrasing) that had Ochs had the benefit of the OL that Dickenson had, it would be his number retired. Don knew something about QBs.

Not sure why people think sneed was better than Johnson.. sneed was the wish version of Johnson.

I will never forget the 81 points the Griz scored against Weber State in 1999 with Miller at QB. It was incredible, 717 yards of total offense. If Drew had any wheels at all, he would have ended up no. 2 behind Super Dave.
