Maybe swap Montana and Youngstown?
Otherwise, it looks about right to me.

Just another opportunity for WBTFG to push his member berries...

I was actually thinking I was too hard on Youngstown and they should have been ranked over appy

Others worth considering, Delaware, Marshall, and Eastern Kentucky (they won2-3 NCs in 80s)

I remember the Griz absolutely destroyed Georgia Southern at Wa Griz. The crowd was pity cheering for them when they got their 2 first downs. I don't think they should be 2.

If you base the top 5 simply on titles, then maybe Montana doesn't belong. But if you include the impressive playoff appearance streak, then maybe the Griz can have a spot. Who knows...

I actually did a top 25 last year. I got Montana at 3 and I will argue with anyone that disagrees why. App and YSU are close but still fall behind in some areas. NDSU and GSU are a clear 1 and 2, no questions.

Here's a link to my write up if you got the guts to stomach it all.

The crowd was pity cus of how they treated us in '89. And if you don't think they're number 2, do a little research.

I'd go:

1) GSU
2) NDSU
3) Montana
4) YSU
5) ASU

Multiple teams, coaches, seasons, and generations of kids for the first 4. ASU was a flash in the pan.

What would you do if you actually had time on your hands to really analyze it!

Good reading.

GSU was a beast for many years before that. They dominated the FCS in a way that only NDSU has come close too. They are hands down #1. Griz played them on a down year with an incredible team.

Thanks. It became quite a beast by time I was done. I had to cut myself off on stats I was trying to compare.

Maybe so Bmafia. However didn't GSU win 5 or 6 NC while I-AA / FCS? I think that alone gets em in the top 5 and near the top of the group.

NDSU
APP State
GSU
Griz
YSU

I'd swap YSU & Appy...

There are a handful of teams that could argue to be number 5 over us...but you have to figure 5 championship losses count for quite a bit.

Youngstown State has 5 titles and are going for a sixth, I think that keeps them above the buffalo bills of the FCS.
