Just had to chime in here.
Weber does lose a few seniors this year, 3 on O and 4 or 5 on D. However, we already have a lot of depth built in, with a lot of talent waiting in the wings. Hill has had 4 good recruiting classes in a row, and will likely have another this year. I don't expect us to miss a beat. If anything, the O looks to be stronger next year. Our D will need to fill some DL spots for depth, but we seem to have a good handle on that sort of thing.
I wouldn't start counting us out just yet. Well, maybe you should go ahead and do that. It seems to work as motivation for our program.
You are probably right and know your team better than I do. Though I did pick you to win. It will be tough to replace Vollert though or do you have another guy you think that can pretty much replace him?
You are right. You don't replace a guy like that over night. However, there is a whole stable of WRs waiting in the wings. I think there were a couple of RS tight ends as well. We don't need another Vollert, as long as the group can pick up the slack. The entire O line comes back and there were a couple of very good QBs red shirting. As with all teams, what happens in the spring and summer will be huge.
My feelings are that UM and MSU will both step up next year. SUU will be back at about the same strenght they were this year. Will that be enough? I'm really not sure, because I feel that the BSC will be stronger, top to bottom. I hope we, as a league, get a little more respect than we did this year from the selection committee.
