A warning to the Griz? I realize that Weber is a better team than Portland State ... but still.

In other venues: NDSU is starting to take care of business against Southern Illinois. Meanwhile, weak Missouri State (3-6) – at home – is leading Northern Iowa, 35-16, with a bit over 3 min left in the game. Another lesson?

If it were anyone besides UNI, I'd guess they'd drop 6-7 spots (which I may do when I do my "Poll Guesses" tomorrow). Right now, I figure maybe 4-5. Sigh.

The one I hope goes into "free fall" is North Carolina Central (which should never have been in the top-10, IMO). They got crushed by 30 points by a 5-5 Howard team.

And in case you're wondering ... I do not expect the Griz to move up even when (if) they complete the job of pounding PSU. Furman did what top teams are supposed to do (thump VMI), so I don't see the pollsters nudging the Griz ahead of them
 
There are FIVE (Count ‘em…FIVE) 6-4 teams in the MVFC: UNI, UND, YSU, ISU, SIU.
UNI finishes at home against NDSU. If NDSU wins they’re 8-3 and UNI is 6-5
UND gets Illinois State, so one of those will be eliminated at 6-5 and one will be 7-4
YSU finishes with Murray State, so they should end up 7-4
SIU finishes with Indiana State, so THEY should end up 7-4

So they have SDSU at 10-0 (presumably 11-0), USD at 8-2 (they’ll finish 9-2) and NDSU at 8-3.
THREE teams should finish 7-4…

Wondering how many get in from the MFVC, and who do they pick out of the three 7-4 teams.

NDSU plays at UNI, so I wouldn’t necessarily count that as an automatic win for the ugly buffaloes. If that’s the case UNI is a seven win team as well as NDSU with a head to head. Would be interesting to see the committee sort out 5 bubble teams from the MVFC at 7-4 and only two for sure playoff teams, both from the state of South Dakota above those 5.

Agreed. That is not an automatic this year for the Bizen. It’s gonna be interesting how they assign seats with that shitshow…
