because there certainly isn't any OTHER team out there you'd make the same bet on.

Not so fast, AZ. I donate $100 per year to a Vegas casino saying that MSU will win . . . it . . . all . . . that year (heard it in a song). I haven't won yet, but when I do, I'll be living it up in one of the finest resorts in all of the greater Fresno area eating chicken fried steak and sipping a cold Cutty Sark on the rocks. I'll probably pick up a couple gals with those old school, 1990s, over-the-muscle boob jobs. It's what I grew up on.
So you've got THAT going for you, which is nice....

Damned straight, bro. And I had better get a few comped apps at the grille, or I will not hesitate to take my traveler's checks to a competing resort.

And I wouldn't blame you one bit for that. Fuckin' apps add up quick. Lull you in with the "lower" prices, but then BAM! you get the check and it's like 'what the fuck, bro?? I only had a couple apps!!

Fuckers. With your rep, they oughta comp the whole damned thing.

Thanks, man. I knew you'd understand. We just need Choatch Coate to get the job done in Bozeman, and then it's high rollin' all the way! I'll keep you posted and save you jalapeño popper.

Elaborate. Why would ndsu moving up be suicide? I'm on the fence about it and don't know enough to have an informative opinion but I think ndsu could easily compete for a ranked position now let alone what they could do with some extra schollies. I don't think their attendance would suffer much either because isn't their stadium actually fairly small given their fan base? I feel like ndsu could fill a stadium the size of wa griz easier than we could

There is zero interest from the MWC schools in the Bison. There is very little support among the NDSU fan base for a move to FBS. Add that to the fact that the Fargodome is about 15,000 seats short and that oil is below $30 a barrel. A new stadium would have to be an indoor facility since the games later in the season would be too cold for the casual fans. It ain't happenin' in my lifetime.

ps- CDA you know dam well that NDSU basketball beat Oklahoma in the Big Dance 2 years ago and fought Gonzaga til the end last year. nice troll try.

I have absolutely no recollection of any North Dakota team playing on the main stage outside of the T-Buffs getting beat at WaGriz and the Zag game in the dance. I didn't remember which ND team it was. I don't tend to remember first round games unless the Zags lose (which has definitely happened). So, please accept my sincere apologies for not remembering about UND-GU last year in the Dance. :thumb:

NDSU lost in WaGrizz? I don't remember that I guess. Probably because the games played in December are the ones to remember.

I think so. I could be wrong. I think it was the only T-Buff game on ESPN on the main stage, ever. I don't think they even cut away for a women's basketball game or a poker tournament seconds after the final horn! It was pretty cool, but also business as usual for the Griz on the main stage.

Weird. I don't remember it. It must have been an exhibition game or something because I don't remember a game played in WaGriz, involving NDSU, that had any meaning to it. I do remember multiple NDSU games on ESPN in December though. The games to remember are played in December. Now I definitely remember a game played in December involving the Griz and NDSU which counted for something. Historic ass kicking if I recall correctly.

So now ESPN 2, 3 and U equal ESPN?

Yeah, I remember a T-Buff game on The Ocho or something while I was waiting for the cheerleading competition to start. I guess that mattered. I suppose if you are too dumb to remember your T-Buffs getting beat on the main stage, in the only T-Buff game America ever cared about, we probably don't have to talk any further about it.

It was a pretty cool game, though. You should watch a replay. The T-Buff players seemed thrilled to play on the main stage. One could see how wide-eyed they were! Just think if you were in their shoes. You play for an afterthought in a shit town, when, all of the sudden, you get to play in front of more people than you've ever seen in an atmosphere you couldn't even comprehend. It must've been like a dream come true for those lil' Golden Gopher fans!

What main stage are you talking about ? WaGriz? For being such a main stage, you would think the Griz would be hosting more games there in December come playoff time. Can't recall many of those in the past few years. Weird how they would want to go to some tin shed to get an ass kicking in the playoffs.

I do recall that smoke filled exhibition game now though. Was a nice warm up for the real season. I just don't get too worked up about exhibition games. The playoffs are usually the ones to care about. Now you are a fan of the 5 time national runner up Montana Griz so maybe I should listen to you and learn to care about those exhibition games.

No I remember it now. NDSU played the Griz in an exhibition game and lost. Was nice for the team as it learned from it and was better prepared for the real season.

Like I said, I just don't get too worked up about those exhibition games that don't count. Kind of like watching an NFL team in preseason.

No probably not. That is why they had to play one on ESPN against Northern Iowa. I can understand why you wouldn't have watched that game though as the season for the Griz was over at that point.

Like I said man, I just don't care too much about those preseason games as they never mean much. They put a lot of the preseason NFL games on ESPN too.

Somebody is a lil' bit bitchy about a team of Minnesotans losing on the main stage, haha!
Drink a few bowls of gravy. You'll be fine.

Is it wrong to read every T-Buff post in a Making a Murderer-type voice in my head? Yah?

If it was an exhibition, the T-Buffs sure exhibited that they can't handle the main stage. The looks those fat faces exhibited were priceless, though!

Chris Klieman wanted to win that game: he just about split his khakis running up and down the sidelines trying to get those timeouts called at the end - all to no avail, unfortunately. Jesse Palmer had some good cracks about it at the time.

But seriously, you really should care about those early games, because things aren't going to be so easy in the playoffs if you ever have to come through Missoula, and you know that.

Congrats on your 5th - and I sure as hell hope we never have to go through Fargo in the playoffs again. I have no problem admitting that.

Nah, he didn't care. If there is one thing I've learned about the T-Buffs, it's that if they didn't win, they didn't care. They might care going in, but if they get beat on national TV, they didn't care about the game. They are basically the BYU of the type II diabetes belt. Yah?

Not only do they not care, they don't remember and they claim the game wasn't even played. Some serious PTSD going on there....
