Nah, man. I think I like him more because he's from an FCS school. I might hate him more if he was from Ole Miss or some perpetually overrated SEC school. He seems like he's a nice guy, but I just don't see him as a starter for long. I feel bad for him that he got drafted by Philly. He would get a fairer shake elsewhere, IMO.

Also, if he wasn't intimidated by our stadium and fans, I bet he was cold as shit.

You should consider taking the high road when it comes to evaluating talent. Your presentation in this arena is shallow at best. Wentz had 2 td's throwing and ditto rushing at the "smoke bowl". WTF else would you like him to do? Maybe play free safety on "D"? Seriously, whether you rate Wentz as a strong candidate or not, I don't believe you could come up with compelling evidence on him or anyone else?... :egriz:

We also would not have seen Goff and Wentz be taken so high. Teams traded up for them because the QB classes the next few years are considered weak, so far.

I get it with Goff, but Philly really whiffed on Wents. He's like a cross between Ric Mirer and Ron Howard.

Your super cute little shtick aside, do you really believe the Rams hit a home run with Goff and the Eagles struck out with Wentz? Goff is a frail build kid who played in a system that has never translated into the NFL.

Wentz has an NFL size, NFL arm strength and played in a system that translates well to the next level.

If you see warning signs about Wentz losing a game , on the road, where he put the team ahead with 1:30 and needed the defense to stop the opponent just once on multiple 4th and longs, I would have serious concerns about a guy in Goff who couldn't win 40% of his starts in college.

Not sure where people are getting the idea that Whent is being disrespected on this board. Seems to me that, in general, eGrizzers are pretty supportive of both the ginger-haired young man and his former Sioux teammates. For example, I have recommended that he invest in muni bonds. Hell, even Grand Forks or Dickinson muni bonds would provide a safe, stable and reasonable rate of return. And also, he should stay away from those reality TV whores. Is there anything inherently wrong with that advice?

Yeah, so I guess you can't really read very well. I don't think anyone was talking about Griz QBs. Wantz is a huge risk just like any QB. He's just more of a risk because he hasn't faced the competition that the others have. Maybe he'll be great, but I doubt it. He's more of a cross between Jeff Garcia and Jessica Chastain.

Now, I know you're bullshitting. There is no way the (former) Sioux lost to five teams at the Shed in 2014. In case you haven't heard, they beat more teams in DII than at which you could shake a stick. The Alerus Arena has proven to be one of the most formidable venues in all the FCS. Sure, people will comment on how they couldn't get it done on the Main Stage, but those Gopher rejects can play, dammit.

Hey! They beat Toledo and some other team that year! Give the ISISU Cyclones a bit of credit. They were really good, and the Fighting SiouxBuffs went into Des Moines and really took it to them. The whole country saw it. The other guy said it was on FoxSports Flyover, or some other channel that I'm sure everyone watched.

I couldn't name a single player on UNDSU's squad other than Whens. I remember a little corner that got worked pretty badly, but I can't remember his name. Most of it probably has to do with the fact they weren't on TV except for when they played the Griz or Jacksonville. Not much opportunity for getting to know the players.
