Yeah without looking back if memory serves Sneed missed a couple games making JJ the last QB that lasted most of the season and maybe he got nicked up too but don't remember that. Point is I think the whole running QB is an over rated talent, if you want to keep them healthy for a run, so to speak.
Now you don't want them to have cement feet either, just better passer than runner.

He had injuries his senior year, but was never out more than a game. I think it was a high ankle sprain against UND. There was talk as to wether or not he would play in cat-Griz in ‘14.

Tommy hasn't be able to finish a season yet without injuries. The offense they're running is getting him killed. He was clearly dazed Saturday which probably resulted in his second concussion of the year. He's nearing the point where he will be done with football with continued brain trauma.

Sneed didn't make it a full season did he? I thought Humphrey had to start a game or two. Am I mis-remembering?

No, he got injured as well. You're correct. JJ was the last healthy qb. Every year since Germer was hired, we have had an injured qb. Those are the most telling stats of anything. He couldn't coach a line that was filled with 5 star recruits. 1 coach I'm hoping and praying that will depart this year. There's a couple other but, like I've said before, I'd be happy enough if we just part ways with him.
Both mis-remembering. Sneed started every game in 2018 and had only one game in which he didn't throw for at least 200 yards. 2723 yards and 22 TDs. He was the team's leading rusher with 675 yards net and 6 TDs. He had some injuries in 2019. Sneed was a very, very good QB.

I like the kid. I saw him interviewed after the quote-unquote brawl game, and he seemed kind of embarrassed about bobcat fans in general. How could you not like that? Total class act in my book.

I have not seen any report on what his injury was on Saturday, but yes, it sure did look like a possible head/neck injury.
I believe he was knocked out of the EWU game with a concussion early this year, so if he sustained another concussion this past week, you are absolutely correct that someone needs to start talking about his safety playing a running QB going forward.
It would be a real shame if TM could not continue playing, but brain trauma is serious shit.
Does anyone know if the Cat coaches were asked about Mellot’s injury?

Go Griz!
