If you don't know football, Google is your friend.Whos Nolan Smith?
Tommy's 40 time, while not the "outlier", certainly puts him in the top quartile for nfl receivers. 41 inch vert, same. But... his instincts, intelligence, and competitiveness are outliers. His intangibles are off the charts.Dude, please. Nolan Smith is a defensive end (a DE!!!!) and he ran a 4.39 with a 41.5 vert.
While still elite, those numbers are far from outliers in today's nfl. Particularly at skill positions.
I, personally, would be driving to the store right now for my third tissue run of the morning.I never understand why some of you blowhards on this site try to marginalize the NFL potential of FCS players just because they play for rival schools. You did it with Troy Anderson and it was at an all-time ignoramus level with Wentz. Anyone with any level of football acumen would be celebrating a kid like this at the FCS level instead of trying to tear them down out of petty jealousy.
If the Griz had a kid with these measurables get drafted the same dumbasses would have his poster over their bed, with a bottle of lotion and a sock drawer full of crusty tissues.
Nolan Smith is currently a Superbowl champion, and one of the most loveable kids in the NFL. Go Birds.Whos Nolan Smith?
Absolutly nailed it..100%..I never understand why some of you blowhards on this site try to marginalize the NFL potential of FCS players just because they play for rival schools. Im sure you would.Just like every morning when your glazing over posts made by other members of the c.j. club.I, personally, would be driving to the store right now for my third tissue run of the morning.
By sheer nature of something being intangible isn't it off the charts because it can't be measured let alone charted? Asking for a friend...Tommy's 40 time, while not the "outlier", certainly puts him in the top quartile for nfl receivers. 41 inch vert, same. I may a little dense at times-well not much but could you help me understand the c.j. club meaning ? Are we talking circle jerk club here ?Im sure you would.Just like every morning when your glazing over posts made by other members of the c.j. club.![]()
The analytics dorks of the NFL definitely dont know what to do with itBy sheer nature of something being intangible isn't it off the charts because it can't be measured let alone charted? Asking for a friend...
There are most definitely not dozens and dozens and dozens of players that are equal to what Tommy brings to a team. You have no idea who this kid is and what this kid is about. I don't understand your hatred towards Tommy and the weird nicknames you use.Are you suggesting there are not 4 or 5 WRs on every nfl roster with skills equal to merlots? Cmon.
The chiefs alone have like 6 WRs in their room with 4.3 speed.
I actually like "Tommy Merlot," because he gets better with age. There are most definitely not dozens and dozens and dozens of players that are equal to what Tommy brings to a team. Because I believe -- like most late-round picks -- that he'll be a marginal nfl player. Your milage may differ, which is why god invented eGRIZ, so we could have these kind of discussions. I don't care if he's from Butte or Mill Creek (for what it's worth I believe Riley will be a marginal player as well), a bub or a GRIZ. I just know how damn tough it is to succeed in the nfl, and how many absolutely amazing athletes there are. Merlot is great; there literally are 1,984 great players in the league, and every year another few hundred join them. What is your hatred with Tommy? I know Tommy very well. I do not know Junior or Wilson the same way. Does not impact my fandom of the Griz one bit.Okay.
Remove your bobcat hat for a moment and answer this: do you honestly believe that the alumni and fans of every drafted player in america isn't saying that about their guy? I mean, clearly both Wilson and Junior have the "it" factor; both bring amazing things to a team. Are you over on bcn talking about what absolute stars they're going to be in the nfl? Something makes me think not.
For me, the biggest between Junior and Tommy MalortWhat is your hatred with Tommy? I know Tommy very well. I do not know Junior or Wilson the same way. Does not impact my fandom of the Griz one bit.
I am not over on that board and never have been. However, I have stated on here how much I think of Junior and the impact he will make with the 49ers. I think he could be similar to what Deebo did for them
I doubt that there are a couple of different threads talking about how well bergen is going to workout for the 49ers over there that was started by a bobcat fanOkay.
