We’re a fast growing community and extremely proud of how this event has grown with us. The FCS championship enhances our reputation as a tourist destination while providing entertainment and economic benefits for our residents. We’re looking forward to continuing our partnership.”
You gotta be kidding me!

Be that as it may, and there seems to be so much negativity to playing in a soccer stadium, one venue I thought of in the area would be at the (American) football stadium at the University of North Texas. UNT's most noteworthy football playing alumnus is Mean Joe Green, at least that was the impression I got from passing by the place several years ago. It is a straight shot up from DFW, but it is located in an industrial area which detracts from it, but the stadium is exclusively designed for American football and it seats around 30k as I vaguely recall.
As far as it still being in Texas, well all I can say to that is way back in the last century when I was in a classroom at UM, I recall someone making some point about an issue and referenced it to how it was viewed at UM. The professor came back with one of the most zinger of a comeback when he said with perfect sarcasm - "that is the way it is viewed across the country - not just in Missoula". The class erupted with a roar of laughter.

I also had a professor in the business school that told our class, and tells every class "I was a consultant for many years and lived all over the world, my one piece of advice to you is NEVER move to Dallas, Dallas sucks." Dr. Firth if anyone else had him I think they will know what i'm talking about.

Spoken like someone who got their asses handed to them in the Dallas 80s bust....anyhow how bout we just play the damn thing in Allen's high school stadium...I was honestly shocked by how beautiful the facility is when i saw it in person......much much nicer than the Cats stadium, i think it seats 17-20k also. Strictly football facility

citay said:Years ago there was a robbery in San Francisco. Two cops had a description of the getaway car, saw a car fitting that description, and pulled it over. The two guys in the car seemed to have a legitimate alibi, but the cops had one last question: Where did you go to high school? "Why, right here in Frisco," said the driver. Whereupon the cops arrested them. They had the robbers.

Your professor's word must carry a lot of weight. 8 million living in the DFW metroplex, while God's area code is still huffing and puffing to top 1 million and everyone bitching with each other about the ability to afford moving up to the FBS.

"God's area code" that statement right there basically proves my point.
