Maybe Botner can tutor him.He is pursuing medical school. I would assume he is focusing on that rather than getting a 6th year of college football.

My expectations are plenty tempered as are most fans. Asking for last years success is a tall task, but it’s ok to have optimism. BK is inheriting generational talent at 3 of the biggest skill positions on offense and some good pieces on defense, so it doesn’t mean the standard needs to be dropped. Beat the cats, win the conference, win the natty, graduate should still be the goals.I think Griz fans need to temper expectations. It is difficult to win games. It is extremely difficult to win 13 or more games. To me winning 8 games and making the playoffs would be a successful first year of the BK era.
YesAre you okay with the team going 13-3?
Using your logic, Bobby Hauck was a total failure. He inherited a team that had won the National Championship and didn't win one.To be honest, I was about as thrilled with BK as I was when BH was introduced as the new HC for 2003. I'll give BK the benefit of the doubt, but 13-2 is the floor, the standard is set. Onward and Upward! Play ball!
BK is inheriting a program far superior to the one BH inherited in 2018. I guess skipping 2023 embellishes your narrative. Very crafty.Bobby 2.0
2018 - 4-4 (6-5) - Loss to Cats in Msla (29-25) and no playoff
2020 - Covid
2022 - 4-4 (8-5) - Loss to Cats in Bzmn (55-21) and loss to NDSU in 2nd round
2024 - 5-3 (9-5) - Loss to Cats in Bzmn (35-11) and loss to SDSU in 2nd round
For the 2026 Griz, I think an 8-5 overall record with 4-4 in conference and a loss to the Cats in Bozeman with a loss in the 2nd round would be considered a success. If it was good enough for Bobby, it should be good enough for BK.
Bobby 2.0 left the Griz program in much better shape than he inherited. I only looked at the years we played the Cats in Bozeman as that is the most consistent loss for the Griz. If you want to compare to other years, be our guestBK is inheriting a program far superior to the one BH inherited in 2018. I guess skipping 2023 embellishes your narrative. Very crafty.
Your last para is completely wrong. HauckBobby 2.0 left the Griz program in much better shape than he inherited. I only looked at the years we played the Cats in Bozeman as that is the most consistent loss for the Griz. If you want to compare to other years, be our guest
On a related note, Bobby 1.0 inherited the Griz program in much better shape than left it.

2.0 went to national champ game the last 2
years.
You continue to go farther off the rails. Bobby inherited a program that had lost three of its last four games under lame duck Joe Glenn and the QB he inherited was Jeff Disney. On a related note, Bobby 1.0 inherited the Griz program in much better shape than he left it.
He didn’t inherit but he brought in former #1 high school qb in the nation with Craig Ochs. Fun fact Bobby Hauck recruited Ochs to Colorado. You continue to go farther off the rails. Bobby inherited a program that had lost three of its last four games under lame duck Joe Glenn and the QB he inherited was Jeff Disney.
On the other hand, in BH's last four years before departing for UNLV his teams were 32-1 against BSC competition with back to back NC appearances in his last two years. He left stars like Chase Reynolds and a program far better than he had inherited.
If I remember correctly, Craig and his father just showed up out of the blue to speak with Hauck. Hauck wasn't expecting that visit. He didn’t inherit but he brought in former #1 high school qb in the nation with Craig Ochs. Fun fact Bobby Hauck recruited Ochs to Colorado.
It was the previous connection with Hauck from Colorado that made Craig Ochs want to come here. He would have not come to Montana for another coach. If I remember correctly, Craig and his father just showed up out of the blue to speak with Hauck. Hauck wasn't expecting that visit.
I know that. Just mentioning it was a surprise to Hauck. It was the previous connection with Hauck from Colorado that made Craig Ochs want to come here. He would have not come to Montana for another coach.
I'm still pissed about how Glenn left, didn't return with the team as I remember after the last game. You continue to go farther off the rails. Bobby inherited a program that had lost three of its last four games under lame duck Joe Glenn and the QB he inherited was Jeff Disney.

Except he committed to Montana during the 2002 season to play for Joe Glenn lolIt was the previous connection with Hauck from Colorado that made Craig Ochs want to come here. He would have not come to Montana for another coach.
Ochs was not available until game 5, 10/4/2023.Except he committed to Montana during the 2002 season to play for Joe Glenn lol
