To win against good team, this can't happen

Fail to recruit #10
Word is that he wanted to come to Montana, but Delaney didn't think he could offer him because we already had a #10. Afterwords, Delaney was pissed when one of his coaches explained that he could have just given him a different number. He was not aware of that rule.
HA! That's some funny stuff...thank you

Amen, AZ !!!

This game was a heavyweight chmpionship bout--a real shootout battle !!!

While I can fault the coaches for not going for it on 4 and 1 in the 4th, I am sure if we had gone for it and come up short, no one on e-griz would be second guessing Mick and saying we should have taken the 3 ... no really, no Sunday-morning quarterbacking !!!

I think if Kjelby Oiland, who I hear is a great kid, doesn't have his fingers in the EWU's lineman's facemask, we probably win. But hindsight is 20-20, Eastern made a few more plays than we did, everyone has to accept the result and learn from the game, and we need to move on and get ready for Sac State instead of moping around and walking on our lower lip all week or we will come back from California with our tail between our legs after losing 2 in a row and be 6-3, instead of 7-2 !!!

1. Not make the play on a 25 yard pass to no. 10, when you're in position to make the play.

2. Fumble on 1st down on your own 20, when you're up 10-7.

3. Give up a 86 yard TD on 1st down, when down 14-10.

4. Give up a 34 yard TD to no. 10 on 3d and 13 at end of first half.

5. Have a 3 and out after a nice interception and 44 yard return at start of second half.

6. Get a penalty that nullifies a nice TD pass on 3d down.

7. Give up a 52 yard TD pass on 3d and 6.

8. Go 3 and out after a nice interception and 11 yard return to the EWU 31.

9. Miss a 39 yard FG with 5:20 to go and down only 11.

EWU made more plays, and big plays, than UM did. At least, UM receivers showed they could catch tough passes later in the game.
Ugh, can we please never mention #10 for EWU until next year? That kid is a nightmare. 3 more years of #10 makes me sick to think about. All are good points that were major factors in the Griz losing. 5 really stuck out to me. After a huge momentum swinging play by our struggling secondary our offense does them no favors with a 3 and out with great field position after Harris' return. At that point I felt the game was over.

Almost threw my bottle at the bar's TV when they tried to run it up the gut on 3rd and 13 after the interception. Good god that was frustrating. :x

I'm glad you didn't throw it. Don't ever waste beer bro. The only thing that could make our offense more frustrating to watch, is not having any beer to drink when you watch it. :thumb:
