Tired of Being Bobcat Fans

I grew up in Bozeman. My wife and I both graduated from MSU. We still live in Bozeman and will probably remain here for the foreseeable future.

Both of us are getting so fed up with MSU Athletics. We're tired of our programs sucking year after year. The game environment and entertainment is the same as it was 20 years ago when I first remember going. Nothing ever changes. Fans don't demand for excellence on the court or field here. They even started turning on the lights in the upper deck during basketball games...which I can't figure out because nobody ever sits up there. We rarely go to football games because they are boring, and we have season basketball tickets because their isn't much else to do here during the long winters. Our pre-conference MBB schedule includes lots of games against smaller programs instead of games against bigger schools like Utah State or Boise State that might actually be fun to attend and prepare us for BSC play.

I really hope that you Griz fans appreciate what you have. Most of my Cat fan friends have serious Griz envy, although they keep it pretty quiet. Your excellence in Football, and both basketball programs is really something special. I would love to see the Cats elevate their programs to be more competitive and actually build a rivalry again.

Any attempt to say anything negative about the Cats on BN is quickly slammed. Cat fans are pretty blind, or ignorant as to how pathetic things really are here in Bozeman.

We are seriously considering driving over to MSLA for a football game this fall and perhaps a basketball game or two next winter...just because we know it would be more worth it than driving three blocks to MSU for an event here.

Very nice.

My sister graduated from MSU yet I still despise them.

Hell even Chris went there for a year.

Player Rep was a huge Bobcat fan until the Griz domination started.

Bandwagon!!

So it's HelltobeaCat, being that you've already filled that position ? Can't you just move over a little bit and give the poor guy a little room? Can't you feel the pain he's going through? At least give him a little credit for recognizing the problem and having the balls to step up, confront the situation head on and taking the risk of attempting to better himself.

mtgolfski > let me know when you're coming to the Zoo and I'll help you find some good seats for the Biggest and Best Show in Montana. You won't be disappointed any longer! :thumb:
