TINKS NEW HEAD COACH!!!

Anyone (especially Beastie) who is writing Tinkle off with no legitimate reason is an idiot. The guy was responsible for damned near all of the few successes during the Kennedy era, taking the reigns when Kennedy was being Beastie... I mean an idiot. He started the run (against Weber at Weber) in the '03-'04 season that almost put the Griz 2nd in the Big Sky going into the tourney, if Kamaar Davis hadn't pulled a Beastie... I mean bonehead move and missed 2 free throws, 1 of which would have sealed the game against NAU. Since joining the staff in 2001, he's been the most respected coach on the staff. He should have had the job after Kennedy left, although that worked out prety well anyways. Players want to play hard for him, and he'll be a great head coach.

And Beastie... you're just a little bitch, aren'cha? Come on and say it with the rest of us. You could even stand up and wave your arms above your head while you do it. I doubt you'll feel any better about yourself if you do, but it might get the blood flowing again, revitalizing the parts of your brain that made you say such dumb isht in your posts so far. You might even learn something.

Wayne Tinkle will be a good coach for the Grizzlies and it's great that instead of doing a long, drawn out search, the Griz found the best man right at home. He'll be a good one in Missoula and I wish him luck. (well except in a couple of games each year, of course )

Mu guessis that he'll do OK. Probably be about as successful as a Mick Durham. I've heard people say "Tinkle has always been an assistant for a reason...". Obviously time will tell how he pans out. :twocents:

Tinkle has always been an assistant for a reason

"Always been an assistant"?? For five years?? I would guess there are very few DI head coaches who were assitants for less time than that.
