Tinkles top assistants?

Who will he choose as a new assistant? This will play a large part towards his success or demise.

Good chance that Brian Marso was a WT selection. And Marso appears to be perfect for the position. We’ll see but lookin’ good so far. :thumb:

I think that's his brother Jason Huse who played at MT tech and is coaching at MSU Northern? Thad is a laywer. :werd:

Shawn Huse is he coach at Northern.
Thad Huse would have to take a huge pay cut from his current job.
How well do Tinkle and Brian Marso get along.
Tinkle should already have a list of assitant coaches available from the Hiring last month.
Scott Carson is available!!

Andy Hill is still here as well, a guy often lost in the background, the other coaches considered him amazing at scouting opponents and breaking down game films.

You look at some of the big wins over the last two years and it was because of a smart game plan and good scouting. Andy's the man.

Of course Marso is here as well, after a successful time at the JC levels, and he's coming over with one of his guys, Marso has been here before, hopefully he'll continue his JC success.

It really leaves just 1 spot open

Not too mention Thad knows more about football than hoops :thumb:

I know once upon a time that the third assistant on the staff of basketball programs only made about $20,000 a year. Does this kind of money still hold true for the most part?

It is up to the coach in a lot of ways. The head coach is given so much to spend on assistant coach'e salaries and he divies them up as he see's fit. Kennedy pumped a lot of money when he was hired into his ace recruiter and the other guy's were not paid as much. For two years Durham cut back to two assistants and paid them both bigger salaries. In this case do you know if the next hire will be a third assistant? Hill was the 3rd assistant last year with Huse and Larry K leaving eas he elevated to1st assistant, or was that the new hire (can not think of his name right now). I think Tinkle needs to sort it out for himself. He may chose to leave the current assistants right where they are and hire his own 1st assistant.

Marso did coach Kamarr Davis but I don't think he's coming over with one of "his guys" this time unless I missed something.

How about former griz Hinkle and former cat sprinkle ? The coaches would then be Tinkle, Hinkle and Sprinkle???

Funny, but I think the Griz player you are thinking about is (Craig) Henkle. Thus, it would be more like Tinkle, Sprinkle, and Henkel.
