Terrell Smith had one of his best summers ever. The versatile 6-foot-4, 200-pound wing from Federal Way High School got a chance to do his thing in front of plenty of college coaches, and now he's ready to decide where he's going to play basketball at the next level. Smith has all sorts of options on the West Coast - and elsewhere - and is currently getting set to take some visits to sort things out.

So far, two trips are on his calendar and more could be added soon. "I'm going to Pacific this weekend, the 8th, and the next visit I've set up is with Old Dominion on the 22nd," Smith said. "I'm still talking to Portland and we're trying to set up a visit with them. I'm also hearing from Montana, Eastern Washington, and Utah State."

Currently, Smith's offer list reads as such - Pacific, Old Dominion, Portland, San Francisco, Eastern Washington, Montana, and St. Mary's. "There's not a clear leader," Smith said. "I'm giving everybody an open opportunity. But I'm looking for somewhere where I feel comfortable with the coaches and the players - a place where I can feel good about staying the next four years."

Smith's search will continue this upcoming weekend when he heads down to Stockton. There he'll be greeted by a familiar face, old friend Steffon Johnson. "They might (have an edge) since there's somebody on the team that I know, so that's pretty nice," Smith said. "But we'll see how it goes. I'm going to try and take all my visits, but if I feel strongly and feel comfortable somewhere, I might commit. But I'm going to try and take them all."

The school that lands Smith's signature will be getting an all-around scorer who is ready to take on a leading role at Federal Way as a senior. His summer certainly helped him get prepared. "For the most part, I felt that I did pretty well," Smith said. "My shot fell, I was able to get to the basket, and I rebounded pretty well. We took second in Vegas (at the Main Event), so that was good too

Tinks will win hands down. The guy has a charisma about him and it almost makes you forget that he is a giant. I wish him nothing but the best.
