Mountain West.

Two or three bid conference to the Big Dance. Schools with way more TV exposure. Access to bigger recruiting areas. Solid rivalries with Boise State, Nevada Reno and Wyoming in a conference with a sensible geographical distribution. Great destination locations for Griz Nation--Hawaii, Las Vegas, San Francisco. Finally--major!- we could show off our "all-airport" team!

But Citay is correct; The Mountain West is where UM belongs, in all sports including football. Those are our peer universities in the west.

So - back to Mr. Falls - it is very apparent that he gets just as much fun and intensity from a sweet assist as he does making baskets. His behind the head pass to a trailing Nicholas was sublime. He's gonna be a ton of fun to watch during his time as a Griz.

So - back to Mr. Falls - it is very apparent that he gets just as much fun and intensity from a sweet assist as he does making baskets. His behind the head pass to a trailing Nicholas was sublime. He's gonna be a ton of fun to watch during his time as a Griz.

Falls and Nicholas have terrific chemistry with one another. The 1st alley oop pass to Nicholas was from about 35 feet out. That is a difficult pass to execute with that kind of accuracy. Hard to believe they are only Freshman. The over and behind the head pass to trailing Nicholas was a pass you just don't see many players attempt, let alone do it successfully. Looks to me that Travis is loosening the reigns with these 2. Falls steal, then lob lead pass to Akoh was great too. Many players would have tried to just keep the ball in bounds, let alone place a soft lead pass to a big for a dunk.

Falls is plenty capable of averaging 6+ assists per game, after Rorie and Oguine graduate.

Heard TDC say on the post-game interview that they're roommates. Makes sense. DeCuire also said something like "Nicholas is starting to realize that if he gets out and runs and gets open that Timmy will probably find him."

Hard to believe, this team only loses Krslovic after this season. Also, Dorsey will finally be playing (I hope). Hoops is back on track. :thumb:

I have seen many young players "get more comfortable" with the speed difference between high school and college, but what Timmy Falls can do is very unusual.

We often hear of the new quarterback who gets enough experience that the game goes to slow-motion. I haven't heard that expression in terms of basketball, but I wonder if for the rare athlete, the game does go to slow-motion.


That is the only way I can understand the passes that Timmy Falls made in Tuesday's game against Irvine. If he can keep on growing his game, this will be special.

He had a jaw-dropper tonight that was the best pass I've seen (in person) in a couple years at least. I can't even remember who it was to, and I'm not sure I even know what to call it. I guess it was a behind the head, no-looker, if you can envision that. And that bitch had some stank on it too.

Was really amazing to see. Can't wait to see more of this dude.

On another note, he pretty much instigated the shit-show with the double-T, even though it was BS. You could see he had the defenders arm wrapped to his chest as they went out of bounds and the play ended. The NoCo player, who was frustrated, ripped his arm away and shoved Falls, hard. Then another UM player stepped in and shoved him back. That was the extent of it.

Anyway, I really had no idea previously that he was such an unconscious passer. Just amazing shit to watch. :clap:
