Timeout — WTF???

PSU is running out of time and timeouts so the Griz call timeout to help PSU save a TO to kick the FG? WTF? Ranks amongst the biggest bonehead decisions I have seen.

I suppose, but on the ensuing play Jace Lewis got a TFL. Not that they obviously predicted or knew they'd be able to do that, but they at least made up for that use of a timeout, which did make no sense to me...

Gift timeout to PSU. Terrible time management in the end. Does Hauk get some sort of award for not using timeouts? Why call time for them? No timeouts in the first half to settle the team?

That was a real head scratcher to me. All I can figure is this:

- PSU still had its last TO so they were going To use it for their FG attempt no matter what
- Bobby figured no harm no foul in stopping clock to give Griz at least a chance to return kick just in the 5% chance that guy nails the FG
- he must have felt better with a few ticks on clock than them bleeding it out to 2 ticks, kick the Game winner, and no kick return chance.

In a sick way he ended up correct but I still don’t like it and would never expect a coach to do so.
