Time to stop the whining and man-up!

I'm gonna miss O'Day and Pflu, now there is reason to believe that someone will build a respectable program over there.

Titlest. I'm not a fan of banning anyone, but I think 3610s week or so ban almost killed him. Just for fun, lets crank the dial up to 2 weeks this time and finish the job. Just for fun.

Are you suggesting there is a lack of discipline and a crisis of leadership on egriz?

Many folks like you have thought themselves gods chosen etc as they run around burning folks at the stake.

Count me out.

Is this the pot calling the kettle black? You've been burning Engstrom in every post you can find, for days "For the 1,00th time Royce Engstrom is as guilty if not more of the same percieved crime." Your words, TG.

Why don't you log off for a few days, and try to regain some composure?

How is replacing Pflugrad and O'Day, fixing or changing anything,? other than in the mean time.

Is their dismissal, a conviction of the athletes involved, or an abrogation of laws and rights.

The way I see it, it may be a temporary stall, to a problem that is unavoidable and not able to be fixed.

Dismissing two individuals and destroying their lifetime careers, especially in the case of O'Day, and not to slight Pflugrad, without establishing reason is not the solution.

With a hundred plus athletes from around the country and some from out of the country, congregate them into atmosphere of jersey chasers with their " Im juicy " sweats and short shorts, and trust me there will be other instance to come, it has happen in the past and will happen in the future, and not just in football programs.

Fix the problems, is not firing and destroying individuals trying to do their jobs, it's changing society and humanity.

Can anybody in this conversation tell me that Robin Pflugrad, or Jim O'Day would have or did condone the actions of the accused and not convicted individuals.

The only one that got away with anything thus far is the Saudi, that is home with the help of the president of the University.

Robin Pflugrad and Jim O'Day thank you for devoting your life and career to help athletes that you can't have under control 24 / 7, however did excel where it counted on the football field.

Hoping that everything has a purpose, and you both will land on your feet, at a place that you will be appreciated. The University of Montana will have to learn with new faces that things will not change. :twocents: :twocents:

O.K., all of us have had our say the past couple of days. We have gone through the normal progression of shock, dis-belief, anger, confusion, depression, et. al, et. al.

But, it is time for all true Griz fans to man-up and move on. Nothing can be changed at this point. These two gentlemen are now part of Grizzly athletic history. The real Griz fans will cinch their belt buckle one hole tighter, and move forward in a positive manner regarding this great football program.

The few who will turn in their season tickets, leave the booster club, or stop donating can wallow in their self-pity, spend fall Saturdays crying in their beers, or become Bobcat fans. The true Griz fans don't want these fair-weathered Johnny-come-lately fans anyway. They were never really part of Griz Nation, only opportunistic hangers-on who liked to be a part of a big-deal happening. These types are always quick to jump off the bandwagon when things don't go the way they wish.

One thing I have learned in my 62 years, is that TIME has a magic way of healing things. Each day that goes by will make the events we all experienced this week seem more trivial. The university, as well as its football program will continue to prosper.

I believe our football program will return to the glory and excellence experienced under previous coaches, which made all true Griz fans extremely proud of their team. No more apologizing to those asking what has happened to our program. No more attempting to rationalize the policies of our coaches and AD regarding how these indiscretions were handled internally.

A black cloud hanging over this program the past few years will have lifted, exposing the greatness of the Montana Grizzly tradition of excellence that so many of us long-time fans have come to know and love.

I ask all true Griz fans to join me in putting this situation into the past. You don't have to agree with the firing, you don't have to like our university president. But, if you really are a true Griz fan, you will man-up, surround our program with the wagons of Griz Nation, and start counting the days until our boys come running out of that tunnel to start yet another great season of Grizzly football!

Not me. I'm still in the denial stage.

If being a true fan has ANYTHING to do with joining you, count me out.

This isn't about me, it's about stopping the bitching and whining, and being a man. Something that obviously escapes a few.

I got a hundredbucks that says G1 will turn on this team before the Griz/Cat game

That would be half of your weekly salary. Sure you wanna risk it? Please stay out of threads that deal with Grizzly football, and stick to your sick obession with the Bobcats.

I've been drinking ever since the bad news broke. Now after reading Growler's blast of the past I worry about my sober cybersecurity. So with that in mind I'll pound another down the hole.

I have had wine with my whine attempting to turn Griz football questions into answers and my impatience with the lack of progress is no mortal threat but the "Growler" can devote his IQ to more lighthearted endeavors, such as smartphones, social networks and life enhancing medical technologies.

I do appreciate Growler's attempt to sober me up. Wants me to cheer for the Griz. Become a smooth fan, forget the very damaging repercussions not only for our team but our fans as well. Drunk, I expect more horrific incidents and attacks on our players. The oncoming debacle is totally unnecessary.

The quality, quantity and variety of our football team has produced record audiences for the University of Montana and is responsible for increased enrollment! I don't see this as a "get behind our team moment" I see this as a potential "black hole"- perhaps a retreat. I do not like looking at our entire football team through infrared goggles.

Lets get the "problem" out so we all can feel it, chew on it, talk about it and I can quit drinking.
It is now official, I know more than you do, Growler!
