My point is coaches wanting to leave Bozeman is not relevant to getting coaches to stay in Missoula.???????? Not sure what your point is?
There is no buyout. His contracts up at the end of the month. Unless he signs a new one they wouldn't be on the hook for anything. That said CSU has a very strong internal candidate for the job that a lot of people like. If they do decide to look external, Steve Smiley is right in their backyard. He's a Colorado guy through and through. Either of them would likely get the job before Trav.I just got done talking to a fan of Colorado State University, at the BIL airport. They just lost their coach, Medved, to Minnesota. He thinks they were looking at Travis, for a coach. Can Travis‘s contract be bought out? If so, it would be an easy buyout for what we pay him and these other schools are willing to pay.
Didn't TDC interview with CSU during the Oguine/Rorie years and....end up signing an extension with UM instead? There is no buyout. His contracts up at the end of the month. I hope you like the new concourse/terminal, Livingston and the re-do of the old one. The cost was pretty steep--$ 60 million, but it was long overdue--the last remodel was in the early 90's over 30 years ago.I just got done talking to a fan of Colorado State University, at the BIL airport. That’s awesome about Billings Airport. It was my go to for years. Bozeman and Missoula airports both look great too. Hopefully with all airports expanding we can add more airlines and flights and prices can get better!I hope you like the new concourse/terminal, Livingston and the re-do of the old one. And I hope Travis stays @ UM--I think, hope he will-- but now Is the time of year when there is a lot of coach movement in college basketball!!!
Amen, Rico, Missoula is far enough away that we don't compete with Missoula ( I am glad to hear about the expansion, remodel of Missoula, as well, though. Thirty-five years ago in the early 90's, I was a flunkee, bellman, bell hop, desk clerk, van driver @ The Holiday-Inn Parkside in Missoula while attending UM and way back then, the Missoula Airport was pretty dinky !!! That was so long ago. I think the Holiday Inn changed it's name to Holiday Inn--Downtown or something else.), but we still have people in Billings driving to Bozeman, Belgrade 155 miles west to get on an airplane--their Yellowstone International has Southwest and Jet Blue and we don't ... yet. That’s awesome about Billings Airport.
