Effective this year the NFL has extended the height of goal posts five feet to help 65-year-old referees with cataracts and vertigo make field goal calls while looking straight up into commercial strength fluorescent lighting.
It looked to me like Sullivans first field goal attempt sailed over the top of the goal posts making it tough to call good or bad. After the questionable call on the missed field goal, I can't help but wonder if an extra five feet of height on the goal posts would have aided the referees in making the call.
What do you guys think? Time to adopt the NFL's Adam Carolla rule?
