Since there is a thread on BN about how the Cats sold out for Thursday night (Which I think is awesome BTW), and in that thread several posters are talking about how Wash-Griz will be empty because huge blocks of tickets are still available for Saturday's game, there needs to be a little clarification. Sorry Cat fans, but it's NOT the doom and gloom and Griz fans jumping off the ship. If you notice, those huge blocks, all in a row are in Sec. 114. That was advocated a visitors section. One quick phone call to the USD athletic offices confirmed they returned 175 of their requested 300 tickets on Monday. It didn't take a genius to figure that out, but I wanted to verify it for myself. So, of course, those tickets are now on sale to the general public.
Again, I think it's awesome MSU is selling SRO tix for Thursday night's game and I'm actually jealous they are having a true night game and UM isn't this year. But whether the person who posted the "huge block of tickets" still available at Wash-Griz info in that thread will admit it or not, it was an attempt to try and say that Griz fans are jumping ship and it just isn't true. UM will finish second to App. State in per game and total attendance in the FCS this year, just like we do EVERY YEAR!
