We beat Nevada a few years ago in the 1st round. We lost to Boston College in the 2nd round. Had we hit our normal percentage from the field we would have upset them too. The GRIZ were a great team that year, too bad Matthews and Criswell's scoring went into the tank against BC.
 
this whole thread gives me a Deja' vue feeling, like how I felt about what the dWeeber fans were saying about how they were going to thump some one, just like last time, in a football playoff game they we going to be playing in missoula in mid December? :roll:
 
I think this game will be a good barometer for how Tinkle is doing on his job. In some of the past big games the Griz haven't shown up to play, namely PSU games and the tourney games, and I think a good chunk of that goes on the coaches shoulders. This game should help us see just how far we have come. Even if we lose but make it a point or two game I think it will reflect positively on Tinkle and the job he is doing. I'm excited for this one, too.

Reno coach Sonny Allen didn't like the eye black and athletic tape on-the-nose scenario either.
 
GO GRIZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Finally game day and the thread is already 2 pages in. I wish I was in Missoula and not Denver for this one.

Big crowd, but they've got to make some noise when the Griz are on D.
 
I am admittedly the worst fan when it comes to verbally abusing refs but tonight I hope the official that went out is ok.
 
HOW DO YOU NOT CALL A TRAVEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THAT IS ONE OF THE WOST CALLS I HAVE EVER SEEN.....honestly the refs had 3 different opportunities to call 3 separate travels on that kid.... I cannot believe it..... then they call a Ticky Tack foul on STAUDS???? WTF????!!!!
