S-H is 2-2 as a starter.
I suspect what you meant to say is that he is two for two, not two and two as indicated. You are correct; wins against two teams with one FCS win between them in 16 tries. Any improvement from game 1 to game 2? The only improvement I saw is a reduction of ints from 2 to 1. Anything to hang your hat on... I hope there is a higher ceiling for this option but it isn't yet visible and we've hurt the running game that was already hurt by the loss of DM.

Correct. Thx.

P.S. B.Wahlberg I am challenging you to personally step up and police these people better on your site. There's alot of uneducated, knowledgeable people on here that are protected by anonymity. I like the open forum but there needs to be some restrictions.
Speaking of uneducated, knowledgeable people on here, this is not Brint's site. Try to catch up. And you would be surprised how many on this site played football at this level. Did you?

Yes I did. In fact participated in two (2) National Title Games while in college and have been fortunate enough to still be involved with sports at the highest levels domestically & internationally.

Thanks for the insight on Brints role as well. Yes I am definitely new, but in order to catch up I would have to look back over my shoulder to see all what I have already surpassed...

It doesn't do any good to attack the players on a personal level. Again, I agree he struggled quite a bit. It has been a year full of struggle. Be apart of the solution is now and will remain my intent!

SSH and McKinney are not the best we have.

How about using your influence to effect the appropriate change? You could network with like minded influential people, on or off this board, and get the change done before THE GAME. If you have the influence, and Delaney is willing(or arm twisted into it), it would be worth a shot.

Papa Bear....I agree about personal attacks on individual players. In my view, general comments about the team or a category ( secondary, wide receivers ) is ok. Please be aware, however, that many people on the board have played football. Others have been involved in athletic administration on a regional and national level.

Actually there are probably a few more than that. Guess we have to wait til next spring to find out...if the coaching staff is able to see it then. If not, well, next fall might look a little like this fall.

Considering performance criticism to be "attack at a personal level" is pretty weak. This is a blog; we're here because we like to hear other opinions. If you only want to hear only what you want to hear, join Obama's crusade against Fox News.

Sorry another thought. We have a bi-week let Scats prepaid for what they have seen all season and then come in with a totally different offense to throw them off. Sort of like what Hauck did at Idaho a few years back.
How much did they pre-pay? That should be a NCAA violation.

I don't think Brzeczek will set foot on the field at WaGriz again this season. To me, it just doesn't make much sense for him to do so. The rest of the offense is not accustomed to his timing/cadence/etc. -- and they are, more or less, used to both SSH and McK. Throwing a third QB, who, for all practical purposes, hasn't played all season, into the mix would be a mistake -- JMHO.
Come next spring, everything should start over from scratch, with all the QBs competing equally. Then we'd see how it all shakes out. However, with this coaching staff, I wonder if doing something like that, which seems so simple and reasonable, will happen....

I couldn't agree more! Smithwick-Hann has not been flawless but not terrible either. I like his skill set overall better tan TM.

Can you name a BSC team other than Montana that S-Hann would start for?
Don't care about any other BSC team. He plays for Montana and right now he is a better choice then TM. I'll admit he played pretty crappy in the first half of Saturdays game but he still ended up with a 125 qb rating. Prior to that he had a 168 qb rating. TM had his shot and proved he wasn't the guy, which I thought he would be.

Up to date stats:Shay Smithwick-Hann
2012 Mont 6gp 61comp 96att 63.5comp% 803yds 8.4ypc 8tds 3ints 155Qb rating.

Up to date stats: T McKinney
2012 Mont 9gp 134comp 205 att 65.4comp% 1350yds 6.6ypc 8tds 8ints 125Qb rating.
Never mind that SSH stats have come against the sisters of the poor, a combined 2-16 record, because of their poor D. But let's at least complete the important stats nevertheless rather than cherry-pick:

QB/Rushing Yds/Rushing ave./Rushing TDs

TM/399/4.6/7
SSH/28/1.5/0

I love it when mom tries to tell us what we can and cant say online..............especially when she doesnt know the difference between criticism and a personal attack.

Silly bitch.........................:coffee:

I think this Tmac vs SSH all comes down one simple thing. Do you want an offense where the QB is a threat to run the ball, or do you want a traditional QB that hands off and throws the ball?

Personally I'm not a fan of the current rage of all this 'dual threat' qb stuff. In theory it looks good, and there are a few really exceptional players that can pull it off. But most of the time it just ends up with a guy that can run some and pass kinda with the added bonus of he gets hit alot.

I will take Peyton Manning over Michael Vick any day.

The little I saw of AB he looked promising, but what kind of thrower is he? Would like to see more of him.

A few more? Is there anyone on this board that doesn't think that there will be a full-on, wide-open quarterback contest for 2013?

You?

Looking more to me like our future success at the quarterback position may depend on a quality transfer.
