Throwbacks for Homecoming

These uniforms are straight fire and if you don't think so that's ok but you are wrong. The throwback colors are fun for a game every couple of years but I do think the Maroon and Silver is pretty iconic so I wouldn't want to see us go back full time. The Drunk Grizzly is still the best logo we've ever had i'll die on that hill.

Anyone else ever think of the Slobberin' Grizzly as the Hamm's Beer Bear's pissed off cousin?

You know what, Kem? I don't think we're going to agree on this. I hope you're having a good day.
With all do respect to Kem, who's nearly 80 and by all accounts a great Griz fan.... it's as if the university is making a conscious effort to target a different demographic. If the 80 year old is one of the very few who doesn't like it, I'd say you guys are right on the money.

Hell I'm in a group thread with about 20 former Cats and even a few formal Griz and we all agreed these uni's are awesome. I've been wanting the Cats to do the same with our old logos forever.

Remember the 2008 game where they warmed up in the regular uniforms and then came out in the copper and gold? Should the Griz try something like that this season? The Griz are 10-0 against Bozeman in the final decade of the copper and gold jerseys plus the 35-3 win in 2008.

Interesting story about this game. I was 10 years old and this was the first season my family had season tickets for. All throughout my life, I've collected posters for every season dating back to 04. Over the summer when I got the poster for this 08 season, I noticed right below where it said vs. Montana State it said Maroon Out. Admittedly at the time, I had no idea what that meant. So when I saw maroon out on the poster I thought that meant they were ditching their maroon jerseys. Thought maybe they were gonna wear like white jerseys at home or something. So when they came running out in copper and gold I was maybe less surprised than a lot of other people at the time despite the fact that we all know what maroon out means and I just didn't know the correct meaning of that as a kid. Thought it was funny though.

That’s an awesome experience to hear about. So cool that it seemed to have years of buildup for you and to have that be your first game at ten!!! Must’ve been incredibly fun for you.

I was a student at that time and somehow meandered my to the frontish 8 rows minutes before kickoff from the tailgates ha. I’ve always worn copper and I had no idea…. Boom!!! the copper storm comes barreling down. Let’s Go Baby!!!! Go Griz!! And awesome story.

Bite me. I wear cooper and gold every year until UM loses a home game. I am far from 80 and have plenty of maroon Griz stuff.
I love the copper and gold, I was just responding to someone saying those in that demographic (80 plus range) didn't like those colors! They are are fun for all!
