Three Point %

(Swilly is quite frusterated at the moment with this teams lack of perminator dfense, and inablitlty to hit open jumpers)

The thing I noticed about the three point shooting of both teams was that (1) WV got their feet set before shooting and (2) except for Chavez's last two shots, the Griz didn't. I thought that in particular there were a couple of times where Hasquet had the time to set his feet before shooting, and he rushed the shot instead.

Granted they were chucking bricks before the half, but they were really just throwing it in the second.

Is there one player on this team who can hit a three?

Here are the numbers so far. Griz shooting 3pnt. 21/77 = 27%. The others 34/63 = 53%.

Dloughy 8/20 40% (Good Job)
Chavez 3/4 75% (Needs more attempts)
Hasquet 1/10 10% (major slump)
Ellis 1/6 16% (not much of a threat)
Martin 4/20 20% (forcing bad shots)
Rundles 1/3 33% (not bad needs more)
Staudacher 3/12 25% (not the Steve Kerr we wanted so far)
Sharp 0/2 0% (he is lost)

Perimeter defense is horrid. We need to hussle onto the shooters with hands up, and maybe we need a taller, longer, defense. Our own three point shooting needs to be much better, but it is hard to get a flow when we change the rotation so much. Besides Chavez: I think he can jump out of bed and hit threes.
