Thoughts on Nate Montana?

Frazier is right in one respect... JJ can't throw the ball more than 42 yards from hand to receiver. Check every game's tapes last year. And if I remember right, in that semi final game, he threw one interception in the third on an underthrow, and he underthrew our receiver on the late 4th quarter drive in the final minutes when he'd beat the coverage by five yards. If you can't acknowledge that at least, we have some koolaid drinkers...

The fact is he threw that pass you are referring to into a pretty severe wind if your remember correctly. That doesn't mean he can't throw and throw accurately. When it came to arm strength Dave Dickenson didn't have a lot of that either when we was a sophomore. He got it done later on if I remember right.

As far as getting it done without good TE's and speed at WR, why don't we add OL, RB, DL, LB, CB, Safeties, Punter, Place Kicker, Special Teams, Scout Teams and Coaches. This is a team game and the focus may be on the QB but without the other team members we go nowhere.

...too bad the reason he had to leap for the catch was because he had to slow down to catch the ball. Sambrano had the defender beat. JJ throws it 3-5 more yards, Sambrano can run under it w/out breaking stride...Yes, JJ is a pretty darn good qb...but the arm does appear on the weak side...doesn't keep him from being a good qb though. :twocents:
