Thoughts and prayers with the Hauck Family

Kind of puts most of the stuff that gets thrown around in here in perspective. Sincere condolences to the Hauck family.

I just heard the news about Bob Sr.

I am so sorry about your loss Eleanor, Bobby, Tim, and Katie. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

I used to manage Denny's in the mid 90's. Bob Sr. and Eleanor would stop by for breakfast every so often. I would have to say that I've never met a couple that was more down to earth or more sincere then they were. Bob never had a lot to say but he didn't have to. Whenever you brought up his boys the twinkle in his eye told you how proud he was. His great work at moulding character certainly shows in his family and the thousands of people he touched in his career. My condolenses.

My heartfelt condolences to all of the Hauck family.

May God grant your family the courage and strength to tide over this extreme loss and grief.

Rest in peace Coach Hauck, SR.

My condonlences to Bob, Tim, Katie and the rest of the family.

This is quite surprising. Was he ill, or was this something sudden?

Too sad.

He wasn't ill so it was unexpected and sudden. It looks like at this point it was natural causes. I still can't believe it.

It's really tragic. Bob was a great guy. He was down in Florida at Tim's condo when he had a stroke and passed. A total shock to the whole family. My thoughts and prayers go out to Eleanor, Tim, Katie, Jason, Bobby, Stacey and the kids.

Coach Hauck is best known for his many years of service to young people. He was a long time coach in Big Timber and Athletic Director at Missoula Loyola High School. Bob is a member of the Montana Coaches Hall of Fame and was on the Montana Coaches Association Board of Directors. He made a difference for a generation of kids who grew up in Big Timber.
A beloved father, grandfather, husband and friend to all, Bob is survived by his wife of 44 years, Eleanore; his children, Katie and Jason Tirrell of Missoula, Tim Hauck and fiancée Denali Solomon of Los Angeles, Bobby and Stacey Hauck of Missoula; his siblings, Tom Hauck, John and Mary Lou Hauck of Missoula, Mary and Ronn Rasmussen of Anchorage, Alaska, Jane and Tom Van Dyke of Billings, Fred and Donna Moriarty of Salt Lake City and Bill Moriarty of San Francisco; grandchildren, Sydney, Ali, Robby and Elise Hauck, Kari, Tommy and Ryan Tirrell; numerous cousins and close family members.

Arrangements are under the care of Garden City Funeral Home. Condolences can be sent to www.missoulafuneralhomes.com.

67 is way too young.

Also the GSA sent out an e mail saying that they've had a flood of requests for Bobby's mailing address to send cards:

Being a Loyola football alum, and was there when Bob was the AD, I know Loyola appreciates that donations are being asked to go to the Loyola football locker room. Bob cared so much about all the Loyola programs and was always there going above and beyond his duties of AD.
Have a memory of him when he asked me to help him put the flag up before a varsity game, then he joked about how if I went to one of the county schools I wouldn't have to be doing this before a game.
Just a truly great guy and will be missed by many.

Wow. I am shocked. He was a great guy. He certainly looked healthy this past fall. I guess you just never know.

My condolences to the Hauck families and friends...

Thoughts and prayers to the Haucks. Bob Sr. positively touched so many people's lives. He was a great man with incredible character. I feel fortunate to have known Bob Sr. and am better because of it.

RIP Bob Hauck Sr. you will be missed but never forgotten!

Bob Hauck Sr., was a great guy, admired, respected and loved by his students. His passing is a great loss. May Bob rest in peace. We should all offer our sincere sympathy and condolences to his family.

When it rains, it pours. So you know, Bobby, Tim and Katie's Aunt Lorraine, Eleanore's sister, passed away today as well. She had been sick for a while. This has been a terribly difficult week for Eleanore.

Oh man, that's rough to hear, condolences again to the entire family. Hopefully Eleanore can find comfort in having her family with her and know that the prayers of all Griz fans are with her and her whole family.
