When I logged in and saw that you had posted the most recent comment for "this" topic I just KNEW you had some snide, negative comment. You have been quite predictable for some time now, argh!. It's getting kind of old. :?

actually, in my view it was kem's post that was part of a long-term, incessantly 'snide' attempt to deride the previous coaching staff and team. why bother to point out empty seats, especially when it looks like some of the video was shot well before games or at half-time? there's only one reason.

i'm just responding to what i see as a needlessly derogatory post. doesn't matter who made it. having said that, it seems to me that stitt is the one who got your goat. you apparently can't post about anything else but last year's percieved (by you) problems.

Without getting involved in this little discussion, note that attendance was down about 2,000 per game last season, and Haslam cited declining attendance as one of the reasons for not re-upping Stitt.

Labor Day weekend games have rarely been sellouts, ever. Last long weekend of the summer for people to get out of town. Students leave campus too.

i have no problem with that, just don't see the reason for one poster to endlessly look for fault with a bunch of coaches who got fired, sometimes directly, sometimes in a thinly veiled manner. so i respond. you similarly respond to people you think are being unfair/needlessly derisive.

How many of those empty seats were from people still out tailgating after halftime? I would like to see more people get back on time and show support for the team. It steams me to see all those empty seats half way through the 3rd quarter.

Athletics does not directly get the revenue from concession sales as it is run by dining services. Athletics does get some of the money but I believe it is a flat dollar amount.
