Big ones for the Fighting Saints!!! Montana Tech tonight and Lewis-Clark State Saturday. The Saints are on a three game winning streak and tied for 3rd in the Frontier Conference. They were picked last in preseason poll. UM Western in 1st rated 12th in the nation and Lewis-Clark State in 2nd and rated 20th. Carroll and Great Falls both also receiving poll votes.
Carroll won 1 game two years ago, hired Carson Cunningham last year and got 8 wins.....17 - 8 this year. The guy can coach and one of the more interesting coaches in the country. Starred at Purdue under Gene Keady, played some CBA and Euro ball, got his doctorate in history, teaches courses at Carroll and has written 3 or 4 published books. Wonder how long Carroll can keep him.
The Griz have some pretty big games too.....another team with a talented young coach, low pre-season expectations and a good year going.
