The pod is up, as always you can find it in your favorite podcasting app. I've got links here for Apple / Spotify / Web. This week we dedicated a large portion of the pod to reflecting on the NAU win and where some of us saw improvements, and where there still are some ongoing concerns too. With no game to scout we go right to fan questions which largely are a reflection on this team and where it's at we head into the bye week.

Great pod as usual.

Just mustering up some courage here to share that I agree with Mike - not sure why Fife is getting a pass as much as he is compared to Ah Yat. Ah Yat was our starter against Western Carolina, slow start to the game, offense gets rolling and he plays great until he gets hurt.

It seemed to me that if he hadn't gotten hurt, we would not have seen Fife play in that game. Fife plays well against a bad EWU squad, Weber (who just lost to previously winless UNC), and now NAU without their starting QB - Fife and the offense looked terrible in the first half and I fully expected Ah Yat to come in at some point. I especially thought he might come in to run the 2-minute offense before the half - since Bobby has said he is better at running this offense and again - Fife looked awful in the first half throwing the ball.

What is going on? I'd also add that I think Western Carolina beats both Weber and NAU (especially if they are playing a backup QB who cannot throw the ball). I feel we are settling for a game manager who is sometimes good (will admit he's had some timely great moments), while we're leaving a better passer and runner on the sideline.

Fair to have that opinion, but Fife also did look great in the 2nd half of the NAU game. I still maintain that in the last 3 games we've seen Fife make far more throws that we've not seen Ah Yat connect on. I have faith in Ah Yat for the future but I think Fife is the better option right now.

It's hard to compare the two, we've seen Ah Yat play almost exclusively in 2 games and Fife 3

In those games:

Ah Yat: 36-55 (65.5%) / 1TD / 1INT / 61 rush / 4 rush TDs / 0 lost fumbles
Fife: 76-110 (69%) / 8 TDs / 0 INTs / 53 rush / 4 rush TDs / 2 lost fumbles
