Hopefully if the Griz beat EWU, another seed loses, so they get a home game!AllWeatherFan said:That's okay - we will have at least one more home game after we take care of bidness on the road next weekend.

Zirg said:I also call BS on 62' Griz' claim that the MAJORITY of Griz fans come from out of Missoula. That is obviously complete hyperbole from a holier-than-though out-of-towner. Where are your facts to back that claim? I'd say it is closer to 60/40 Missoula/non-Missoula on a usual basis. Today it was 95+% Missoulians, as with most playoff games. I'd applaud you for being one of the few to drive to the game if you weren't such an ass. There were about 300 students in the Student section which is usually 3000+, and a good 5000 other locals didn't go that usually do as well. Yes, UM relies on a higher percentage of out-of-towners than a lot of places, but out-of-towners always try to claim bogus numbers with no factual basis.

Since the stats I've heard are about 60-40 outside of the "Missoula area", 62 may be right than a majority come from outside of "Missoula". Don't know why you feel you have to be a jerk over something like this. 62 is a very nice guy.

Thanks; we drove our usual 305 each way (not fun) and as '68 said, we're damn near 70. We also had our young grandkids so we brought them along. It's only the Missoula-centric crowd who is oblivious to the Griz-plated traffic on I-90 on game weekends. The number I saw was 63% of season ticket holders are not from Missoula area zip codes. I wonder why Zirg thinks the Missoula hotels are all booked on game weekends. Missoula residents?Buttegrizzle said:Dipshit. Folks who make the effort to drive from God knows where each weekend and spend a truckload of money in Missoula for home games are your best friends and you are too stupid to realize that? As well they the most committed types of Griz fans. I applaud all who were crazy enough to drive this week on those roads and be careful going home. As to numbers, I'd agree with 62 that the missing 13k were mostly out of towners. Oh, and the students, most of whom are from out of town as well.Zirg said:I also call BS on 62' Griz' claim that the MAJORITY of Griz fans come from out of Missoula.
