Got a busy next five days for Montana Athletics. Six different sports will be competing in seven games/matches plus a golf and Track and Field invite. Just in case anyone is interested, here’s a schedule and a brief statement on the event.
Men’s Tennis
Fri Apr 9th @ 12:30pm vs Idaho
The Tennis team, which was picked 1st in the preseason poll, enters the meat of the con schedule with four weeks until the con tourney. At 0-1(6-10 overall) with a loss to 3-0 Portland St, UM needs get in playoff mode.
Soccer
Fri Apr 9th @ 7pm vs East Wash
Sun Apr 11th @ 12pm vs East Wash
The final two regular season games for the only undefeated team in the league. The Griz are 6-0(7-0 overall) with 6 of 7 victories by shutout. The Griz currently have a 19 game con winning streak on the line.
Softball
Fri Apr 9th @ 1pm @ Nor Col
Fri Apr 9th @ 3:30pm @ Nor Col
Sat Apr 10th @ 12pm @ Nor Col
3-3 in league play, this team still has a learning curve. Wins at UNC would be a good start.
Football
Sat Apr 10th @ 11am vs Cent Wash
Yup, this is finally happening. Nothing on the line but pride.
Track and Field
Sat Apr 10th @ Bozeman Mt, MSU Qualifier
Not sure what’s important here. T&F is honestly one of the few Griz sports I really don’t follow.
Golf
Mon Apr 12th-13th @ Goodyear Ar, Bobcat Desert Classic
A struggling women’s team has its final tune up a week before the con tourney.
