Some of you need to go back to your safe zones. Good grief, it's a football forum. Don't come here if you can't handle the micro aggressions. I have met a few of the people on here and they are generally nice folks. Some comments are made purely for entertainment purposes. Recognize that someone may be prodding you for a reaction. Some are probably truly assholes. Simple solution is to ignore them. This board is for entertainment. Just like football. Recognize that and you will be happier. Oh, and even with some of the more obnoxious posters, they do have some good points of view as well.

Drinking with a bunch of friends around a large table one person yells out "you guys are all nuts" and not one drinker at the table says a word as each participant has his turn at telling a yarn and everyone laughs. Not one of the gang takes offense at the all nuts comment and fun is had by all as they buy rounds for the table. God help you if you show up late and try to sit and enjoy the repeated stories over and over again and so it goes. No mods just a bar maid and the rules? Their are no rules.

I admit I am nuts to post and blow on Egriz but I love hearing others carry on. So I am a lifer among other things and If some of you think our board is better because Growler and Alpha are gone you are nuts. I enjoy opinions stated by most and I hope you keep blowing away. I may be one of the few that have to pay to stay on Egriz but thats all part of the game.

Frankly -- and I'm just being honest here -- I could go for a good band. I mean, I could substitute my eGriz time for some other things in my life that perhaps I've been neglecting. Like feeding the dog, for example; I'm not certain I've done that since Friday. Or the occasional shower; that'd be nice. Going into the office once or twice a month to remind the boss he should still send me a check would be beneficial. You know, now that I think about it, I haven't had an actual conversation with my wife in...I can't tell you how long; I've been far too busy reading multiple posts from 75, all of which were at least 166 paragraphs in length, and all of which said little at all.

So, yeah, I'm all for a band! Bring it on mods!

CDA? He maybe just has too much time on his hands. All you got to do is read some of the old "ask CDA" posts over in the Bench Area to see how great he is..... Ursa and CDA are two classics....

Don't touch Gary and Ace either. Way too entertaining....

There is an old trick once used in reformatories, detention halls, brigs, hoosegows and chain gangs across the land. They would take the biggest troublemakers in the gang and give them a position of authority. These guys would then almost invariably become very strict and conscientious overseers since what their rebelliousness had always indicated in the first place was a need for attention. Once they became authority figures, that need was channeled into their new status as boss men. With that concept in mind, it would obviously be wise to make Growler and Alpha into moderators. The place would then be run with iron hands and the lesser unrulies would soon be slapped into shape.

The place would be transformed over night, and Alpha and Growler would likely become useful citizens even beyond the borders of Egriz.

An interesting side note is that this stratagem would never work in similar situations with women because … well, who the hell knows.
