Weber State Fires Cravens...

At least he still has a job. I still remember the day he did the bunny hop at UM, when he was trying to show the refs what the Griz player had done. I never laughed so hard in my life at a coach. It ended up on Sportscenter on ESPN.

Obviously a typo, but that 7896-459 record all time for the wildcats is impressive. :drinking:

This is why coaches bolt out of the Big Sky when an offer from a bigger program comes along. In 2003, Cravens was the savior of Weber State basketball, which was expected to dominate the 'Sky like 'Zaga dominates the WCC. Three years later, Weber gives him the pink slip. I cannot blame coaches for bolting, knowing what awaits after a mere two losing seasons.

Cravens was on the chopping block a couple years ago and then they went on a bigtime winning streak, he then was given an extension. How soon they forget........how to coach. It isn't just the BSC, it is all conferences and all levels. The CA newspapers are suggesting Montgomery can't coach and that Golden State should can him.
