These refs suck

Good game. Congrats to App St. They make more key plays at the right times, and played a bit better than we did. I'm very encouraged by the Griz. They have nice potential.

Once McKinney realizes that he has D1 receivers with speed and steps into his throws - IMO we have 2 more scores against App. This team will only get better and went toe to toe with App at their house. TO's killed this team and they got no help at all from the ref's. Take it out on Liberty
Would also be nice if he hit some of his open recievers on the short routes. All in all, he did ok. He is young. Things that worked last year when he was in High school are not going to work in D-1 football, he'll get it figured out. Regardless of what happens this year, next year is going to be epic.

This....he under threw three balls that were td's if he had 10 more yards on them.

No way on the 10 yards. They would have been 9 yards overthrown.

if it takes our recievers 12 seconds to cover 10 yards, then you are correct. the rec. had a 2-3 yard advantage on those plays, had to come back and stop and jump for the ball...which takes how long. How fast can they run an extra 10 yards? 10 yards farther and they are td's. ok...maybe 7 yds.

Nope, the receivers were not coming back for the ball.

Agreed. While App St covered downfield very well after the early part of the game, almost all of McKinney's longer passes were several feet too short. They were still good or pretty throws, but as you point out, they needed to be a bit longer to be great throws. HIs accuracy downfield was otherwise quite good.

Yep. Lots of points left on the field tonight with passes poorly placed....

You hit this nail on the head, it's only his second game started since high school and he throws for 3 bills against a great program. Their linebackers were monsters, as advertised.

Liberty will feel the wrath, they will get crushed next Saturday. Trent will be fine, look at our young talent on both sides of the ball, we may make a run this year but the next couple years I'm expecting a trophy.

Agree with grizza here. I know people love to blame the refs for pretty much everything: bad calls, missed calls and FOX canceling King of the Hill, but I've always felt that a team should never put themselves in the position where the ref can determine the outcome, and blaming them is just petty. I'm pretty sure the 4 TOs were more instrumental then anything else.

Nobody is "blaming" the refs for anything. The whole discussion in this thread is about particular calls by the refs. Why can't a discussion be had about particular calls and the quality of refs, without some yahoos saying its blaming the refs. Can some of you not read, or are you idiots.

Actually there is a rather large pattern that you are always the first to bitch/make excuses about little things following losses, or when anything goes awry with Grizzly athletics. 11 years old's do that. A discussion "had about particular calls and the quality of refs" is pretty much making excuses........especially when you seem to be void regarding app. states no calls (I am sure there was some).

It seems as though you Growler need to sit down for a lesson in "objectivity" :puke: :jack:

WTF on the first call---sidelines interference?

When is the last time you saw that called?

and it kept their drive alive!

As predicted, Playa Rape would be on here blaming the loss on the refs again. As predicable as Obama blaming Bush.

Nope, you are wrong, as usual. Actually, I almost never blame anything or anyone for a loss, just like I didn't blame anyone or anything, including the refs, for this loss. However, it's pretty clear that I understand the game of football and am more observant than people like you.

umm......okay  Your reality is a touch scewed. But hey, thats alright because your synapses must not be firing on all cylinders today like a Romney convention??? This was my best Growler impersonation. Maybe I need to up the racist/hater factor to make a more realistic g1 impersonation.

So, stupidity runs deep within your family tree, huh? Sorry, but you walked right into to that one, dude.

You understand football player with leather helmets and offenses using the wing-T. The game passed you by many years ago. You have been reduced to persistent whining after every Griz loss, blaming everything but the fact that they were out-played.
