"There's nothing the Griz can do to beat..."

Absolutely a bad take.. And how hard it is to produce 15-20 hours of recorded content a week and never be wrong. We are wrong from time to time, but always admit it.

And it's proof just how long a football season is. Coming into October, the Griz looked like a bubble team and the Bobcats looked like contenders. Now, I firmly believe the Griz are going to Frisco and Montana State is a reeling mess.

This Griz team has been one of the most fun to cover of any in my 17 years covering the Big Sky Conference. The level that they play together, the improvements they have made, the intensity they bring, the belief....it's a thing of beauty.

For all the Griz folks who have said we are nothing but 'Cat homers (couldn't be farther from the truth and if you know me/us, you know that) - but like I've always told my friends and the Griz fan pod guys and the boosters I'm pals with.....just wait until the day the Griz are way better than the Cats and they beat the piss out of them....wait for what my radio show and our podcast is like then.....well, it's here. So enjoy the ride.

And I can almost guarantee it will be all the Cat fans telling me I'm a huge Griz homer after the amount of love and praise coming the Grizzlies' way after that win yesterday for the rest of the season. Can't wait!
So after your troll-show and now that The Griz are in the driver’s seat to Frisco, you are looking for respect for jumping back on the bandwagon and want to be welcomed back with open arms?

That’s not even your worst “bad take”.

When are you going to address saying The Griz have a “loser mentality”?

I know at least one former Griz who said the same thing after the NAU game…

Here is a post from a Cat fan. I was one that after the NAU game that thought the Griz were in for a tough year. Like a lot of you, wow was I wrong. I give a hats off to the coaching staff and players for getting it together and working hard, improving each week. Yesterday, the Griz were totally prepared and the players were focused and disciplined. A complete excellent effort. It was just the opposite of the Cats.

Now comes the second season. The Griz getting that 2 seed is huge and opens up a good path. The Cats have an opportunity to redeem themselves but face a much tougher road. Will be interesting if we end up with a rematch. That would be an epic game and I think a lot closer.

Enjoy your year with the bragging rights!

What makes you say that?

I think the Cats will be much better prepared. I think the coaches would have a lot different game plan. They made a lot of uncharacteristic mistakes and were not disciplined. Yes, the Griz had a lot to do with it. They totally outplayed them. The Cats would have a big chip on their shoulder, like I am sure the Griz had this year after the beatdown in Bozeman. l just think it would be a much closer game and also the stakes can't get any higher.

Well the stakes were pretty freaking high yesterday and the ‘scats laid an egg. Playing that way got them a bracket with USD, UND, NDSU and Sac State…it’ll be a miracle if they come out of that bracket and make it to Missoula for a rematch.

Yes, the stakes were really high yesterday. And yes, because of that loss the Cats now have an extremely difficult road. But, if somehow they do make it to Missoula, it would be fun to have a rematch for a trip to Frisco.

Agreed. I’ll be at that game regardless of who the Griz opponent is.

Colter's post is sickening. Pandering back here after being the scats publicist. He has no pride or integrity. He needs a ride back to bozo, on a rail. Their locals will just welcome his tarred and feathered ass like just another migrating bird.

Y’all need to get some closure….one would have thought yesterday’s game provided that…

I just thought it would be funny to revisit Andrew's early season comments on the Griz but who knew some people are so bitter and angry? Sheesh.

Good digging, mom. If you were a guy we would have to start calling you Jimmy Olsen... 8-)

If they do play again...the first game means nothing. It was a nice win, but each and every playoff game is sooo much bigger.

Both colter and Andrew need to acknowledge that bad take. They stated on numerous occasions that the cats were better at nearly every position, and there was a huge drop off in depth too. Well, 37-7 fellas. Bad take

Absolutely love the content you provide. Thank you and the rest of the Skyline crew for everything you provide. I will literally never bash people providing Big Sky content, and what you provide is the best in the business. Many do know where you came from, and don't blame you for having a take that doesn't paint the griz in the best light.

And what you said PALES in comparison to the negativity that some of the people bashing you were spewing a couple of months ago about individual coaches and players.

I support Skyline, but their handling of this was awful. Responding to inquiries regarding why they don’t press coaches about public employees getting wasted and crashing school-issued cars and getting raises with, “That’s not what we do, and you have a loser mentality” is pretty fucking lame. Be a journalist, or be Skip Bayless. At present, it seems like the latter. But, hey, Skip’s on TV!

Well hell colter, thanks for owning it! That’s pretty awesome  I’ve eaten my fair share of crow this season too. I was pretty vocal about where I thought things stood after NAU, and boy was I wrong! Again, thanks for coming on and owning that take man, I love your show and listen every day.

I don’t know that I would disagree with his take. A lot of us, including myself, had a losers mentality. Sometimes the truth is a hard pill to swallow. We are also all here as our alter egos. He’s here and on his show as himself and hiding behind no alter ego. It takes some balls to have an unpopular opinion and voice it to and about a fanbase whom your employment largely depends.

To be fair, he never used the word “losers”… and I have no alter ego…that takes WAY too much work.

I really think everybody was in a low spot when that came out. I didn't hear it the same way so many did. They were right. And they were absolutely right that we were all throwing that stuff at the Cats about the DUI's because we didn't have a lot to come back with.

After this last weekend, will we be throwing the DUI's in their face, or their complete fall apart at Washington Griz? Easy choice. We were overly focused on those charges because the Cats were rolling and we were scared. They weren't wrong, everyone just hated hearing it.

Now I do think it is okay for people to call for ALL media outlets to ask harder questions about the drunk driving issue. But that is not in any way isolated to Colter. He just has the balls to show up here, so it is easier to yell at him for many.

I think Colter had to show up and acknowledge his ignorance or he would have looked like a complete jackass. It's not hard to eat crow on the internet.

Elrod, you're a solid poster with a big heart and alot of good thoughts, although you often encourage the trolls. I do want to nitpick something. I was, and am, very critical of MSU's handling of their DUI arrests even while picking the Griz to play in the NC this year. I just won a substantial chunk of money on the brawl so my confidence in this team hasn't wavered.

To suggest being critical of MSU's leadership because "we" are feeling low is a bit of a stretch imo. Yes there are some egrizers having meltdowns and trolls who relish and stoke any perceived negativity after one loss, but I am just as critical and confused now as ever. Seems they did a masterful job of sweeping everything under the rug, confuscating the whole thing because they felt they were a contender and needed to avoid any lapse.

The fact that cat people are NOW in earnest calling for both coordinators heads because of "on-field results" rather than their lack of upholding job duties and following the law says EVERYTHING. Thus far, the highlight of MSU's season has been to pull the veil over everyone's eyes, and ultimately escape doing the right thing. They got a freeby, swept-under the-rug season, and can now conveniently decide if they want to use the legal results or "onfield results" as justification for "letting go" at the end of the season. Just my thoughts. I think karma is coming for them.

Couldn’t agree more, AK.

Colter, we’re all wrong occasionally, and while your take on the GRIZ after the NAU game was ridiculous, especially for someone who’s supposed to be connected and yet never stated the GRIZ were dealing with massive illness in the locker room. But appreciate you manning up to admit how wrong you were.

But as AK alludes to, I’m suddenly hearing a lot of cat fans calling for the heads of their coordinators. If that happens, will you please ask why they were fired for losing, but not for violating the law?

I love to bash the cats. Poor kitties. But remember we handed the cats huge defeat 2 years ago. They regrouped and made it the chipper. Not to think to far ahead. One week at a time but brawl of the wild 2.0 on espn. We might get a chance to show the rest of the country how good football Is in the treasure state.

Maybe I’m using the term “alter ego” incorrectly. What I mean is that we’re all here anonymously, while he’s here under his given name and voicing his opinions on a publicly broadcast show. That’s quite a bit different than piping off on an anonymous forum. Think of it this way, he says things about the Griz that isn’t always flattering, and that sometimes undoubtably gets back to the team and coaches……who he has to sit in front of and continue asking questions weekly….again, that takes much more balls that we give him credit for
