“Meh” That “IT” thing surely looks like the cats have it.

Absolutely destroyed a decent opponent. It could have been even worse.

True dat
Hardly. W&M the worst team I've seen in the tournament and the VA boys really did not want to be out there.

Did the Cats have anything to do with how they looked?
Of course, and their lack of skill. The QB couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. Once they were down it was the weather and the biggest home field advantage imaginable. Comically unprepared.

There's a MT team that has advanced one more round that the Griz. Have one one playoff game, just like the Griz. That advancing team has a bunch of obnoxious fans.

One of those teams has WON two playoff games. Hopefully 3 Saturday. Ideally 4 this time next month.

I want it to happen for a million reasons but one is that you’ll be able to say the griz are basically the same as the Cats cause we only won 3 more playoff games than you.

As I said before, my nephew said you were a shitty coach. And I know you are an asshole.

There are 5-8 really top in-state players each year. We used to get most of them. Now the Cats dominate in-state recruiting. I think a big reason, other than their recent success, is the ability of their relatively younger coaching staff to relate to today's high school kids. Just another reason for a re-set.

I disagree they are dominating in state recruiting. I agree there are only 7-8 MT studs worthy of a legit D1 scholarship in MT each year. This year holds true to that. 2 of them (Harris & Anderson) are going FBS.

The Griz have 2 of the remaining 5 (Opitz and Oven) and the Cats have the other 2 (Jones & Taylor). A couple studs remaining are Tierney and Carter so we will see where that lands.

After those guys, it’s partial schollie guys who need to develop and have a chance to be really solid. I don’t consider them having more partials than us as dominating as there are a number of those guys who didn’t even get a Griz offer….so there was no competition on who to choose.

Welp. We’re fucked then.

In other words I was right and you misspoke. No biggie.

Only nephew of yours I coached was John about 20 years ago in middle school and camps. Sorry he thinks so poorly of me. Was an athletic kid. Most 6th and 7th graders don’t hold on to such strong feelings about their summer camp coaches they had to endure for a week in the summer.

Glad he was able to move past that and have success in high school and college. Haven’t seen him for years but if I see him around the holidays I’ll be sure to apologize. 8-)

Welp. We’re f###[#] then.

Man….You are a good dude and good on this board, but saying Hauck can’t develop partial scholarship players and walk-ons is a REALLY tough argument to make.

Let’s be honest. The “VA boys” didn’t look a whole lot worse than we did against the ‘Scats.

I'm sorry, but they absolutely did. MSU had like 12+ yards per carry before they took their starters out, nearly twice what we gave up. I watched most of the 2nd round games and all the quarterfinal games, and W&M was easily the most overmatched team I saw. An absolute travesty they got the #5 seed.

Maybe it was a travesty they got the seed, but MSU averaged something like 10.8 against us, so hardly bragging rights.

And arguing about ‘degrees of suckiness” is a fool’s errand.

Haha no no no, after those top 7 players, it’s a number of partial schollie players who need to develop and need a little help to become solid players. I was pointing out to the OP that just because the cats have a few more of those guys (who the Griz didn’t even offer) that I wouldn’t consider that dominating the in state recruiting battles.

They averaged 6.8, and before their scrubs came in, it was just under 8. You're right, both suck, but to say they weren't that much worse than us is just not right. We would've beaten that W&M team by several scores.

I didn’t watch a single down of football until I turned on the SDSU game Saturday by accident. Then left the house when it was 21-21. I’ll take your word for it that they were measurably worse. Honestly, the score doesn’t necessarily reflect much worse, but it is what it is. i agree they didn’t deserve a seed, and that was pretty obvious to the most casual observer (or pedestrian fan as we like to be called).

W&M had 57 total yards before their last two drives against MSU's 3rd string and frosh players, with 1:39 left in the 3rd quarter.

UM is definitely better than William & Mary. There were several Tribe fans on BN last week trying to convince the MSU fan base that they had a shot. We tried explaining to them how much better the BSC is than the CAA. They weren't buying it. I bet they do now.

No question. UM rolls them too. So would Idaho, UC Davis, Weber, and Sac. And they were the best the CAA had to offer. Absolutely pathetic. Why not let the Big Sky and MVC have six auto bids each and let the rest In based on Sagarin rankings? Since JMU and SHSU left, any other conference is a joke.
