The Time is Now

We had an up and down season. Maybe my expectations were to high but I loved this Sr class of hoopsters. I saw so much potential in this team. One that maybe could be the nexy Loyola Chi. Now I am just hoping to get a bid as a #14 seed. When you lose the guards we have it will take time to get back to where we can reasonably win a game or 2 in the tourney.

I say the time is now to take a deep breath and hope and pray for a March run. When healthy we can be really really good. All about matchups. What do you guys and gals think?

I know we lose two great guards this year, but I don't think the drop-off will be as dramatic as some might think. The Griz are going to be in the thick of things again next season.

Plus they lose akoh, who was in the running for mvp of the big sky who will be a big loss really important inside force you can see the dramatic drop off when he's not in there. Still uncertain who will replace him.
Moorhead who alot of people like will be gone. I don't think it will be as big of loss as most on here will be. So we will see.

I don't know the status of Dorsey for next year , but if he's gone that's an important outside deep shooter they will miss.hopefully he's back.
So in short more than just two guards who they have to replace, keep hearing good things about the incoming class hopefully they live up to the hype, and a new point guard emerges. Not sold at all on falls who I feel has a weak outside shot and way to loose with the ball. All that sad , good luck this year with making a deep run in the big sky tournament and hopefully the big dance. Go griz.

For sure we have Pridgett, Manuel, Falls, Mack, Brown, and Egun. Hopefully we have Dorsey.
I really hope we have TDC!

I think people forget about the transfer Miller...he's going to be solid. I hope Carter develops as well.

Will Kramer be back next year? I just don't see the natural athleticism that is needed to play at this level.

Reality is they are too small to make much noise if they make NCAA. They will be challenged to emerge from BSC tourney for the same reason.

If their shots are dropping, this team can play at a very high level. The Griz have been very streaky all season, for example, when they got ahead of Weber by 20 in the first half on the road, and then went ice cold in the second half. Not having a low post game (both on offense and defense) makes outside shooting even more critical.

Streaks are streaks, however, and I'm not going to rule out the possibility that the Griz can shoot lights out in both tournaments.

1 guard- Falls and Brown, Vazquez
2/3- Dorsey, Manuel, Egun, Miller, Dj Carter, Owens
4- Pridgett, Selcuk, Anderson (4/5)
5- Kramer, Ben Carter

Honestly I think we will be pretty deep. Seeing Carter and Owens highlights... they are gonna push for PT.
