With 61 days left on your contract if you wanted to come back or if they wanted you back there would have been movement by now from one or the other

I know he was out recruiting hard in Colorado during the bye week. Not sure if you would spend that time, money, and resources if you knew you were choosing to not come back

so just completely stop doing his job then?

Sounds ridiculous I know. But if it was open knowledge to him and to Haslam, I'd have a hard time believing he would go out recruiting or that anyone at UM would send him out recruiting. Can you imagine how that home visit would go?

I am not disagreeing with your view of the recruiting classes, but how in the heck would you know how good the classes are before many of them have even gotten on the field?

I guess he would know just like you knew how great a QB Reece P. would be based on practices and scrimmages. Every Montana recruiting class is filled with stud players, where have you been? Just kidding. I agree with your post. Hyped recruiting classes are the fodder for fan fantasies about the future of their program and it is no different at Sac. State or Portland State than it is here.

I’ve hired and fired for 32 years now and I totally agree.....either your all in or your not. Make a decision and live by it but to dance around it usually makes things worse. Haslem should realize that there is discourse in Griz Nation and his decision in the next few weeks will have a huge impact on this program going forward.

Haslem would have to be as much in denial as Hillary Clinton if he doesn't know the depth of discontent with the direction of the football program. And this poll is no way representative of vast majority of Griz fans. Message boards are always heavily skewed with cup half full fans that think things are getting better when they aren't. I have to go back to reading the Bobcat board before Ash was fired. They also did a poll on whether to keep Ash or fire him, and the majority voted to keep him. Good thing that message board posters don't call the shots on hiring.

By the way. If you really want to worry about something - worry about kids getting hurt, the enrollment numbers, college being affordable. The football program will be just fine

In case you haven't noticed the number of empty seats in Washington/Griz, and the availability of tickets which go un-sold on internet sites, and the significant reduction of tail gaters, then you must be asleep at the wheel. I know two separate Griz families who have had season tickets for 25 years, and are not renewing them. Every year in which we continue this path to mediocrity causes more fans to lose interest in Grizzly football. You are blind if you can't see this.

How do you know what I think about recruits after they get to UM?

I’ll share. After they sign they are a Griz and I don’t care where they came from. Makes no difference to me wether it’s Anaconda or Arizona. I hope that they are successful on and off the field, win championships and finish with a degree and lead a productive long life.

But I don’t tie my happiness to the wins and losses of a football team. Life’s to short to take a game that seriously

Conjecture on tour part and raw numbers at the end of the season will truly tell the tale. Quality of
Opponents for home games could be one issue that has nothing to do with the win loss totals for the year. EWU gane was packed and this weekend will be as well. I would say by the number of butts in the seat at the start of the third quarter - tailgating appears to be doing quite well.

I remember Bobby Hauck's O-Line pushing defenses right up the field. Our O-Line making holes for our running backs. Defensive players laying the (Legal) hits to opposing RB's and Wr's. This type of physical play has been absent for 5 years now. Oh sure you get an occasional good hit from Schye or Buss but that is all. The O-Line is bigger but still not physical. IDK?
