The Sky is Falling (Discussion)

The longer the Griz deteriorate, the more the Big Sky Conference falls out of the FCS spotlight. We held the Big Sky together and without Montana bringing prestige to the our conference, we are left with our methhead community colleges to carry the torch. All they did was set their field on fire and call it an inferno.

We should have jumped ship when we had the chance.

Ummmm, the community college to the west has been the ONLY class of the Big Sky for several years now, and have a four-game winning streak against Montana. If they're so pathetic, then how would the Griz do better in the FBS? And I'm talking on the football field! A little strange to be throwing stones at other programs right now.

what a knucklehead...

The Griz program has been under an unequaled time of upheaval. What other programs in the FCS can say they have gone through what the Griz program has had to endure? Multiple coaching changes, loss of scholarships, injuries, etc. The best thing that can happen to this program is for Stitt to stay and have a chance to instill his system. The scholarships will come back and with some stability we will see if Stitt can recruit the level of talent Montana needs to get back up on top. Time will tell.

Eastern was put on probation before the 2009 season, lost 2 scholarships each year for 3 years, 1 coach for 3 years, and almost dropped the entire football program, also had to fight a post season ban restriction. Turned around and won the chipper in 2010...

If a program like EWU can turn it around, i'm pretty damn sure the Griz will too.

I said this year's ago and stick by it, bulldoze the place and build a cricket field. The upside of being innovative in the sport of cricket will make us a national power in a few short years. Of course it's an uninformed opinion because I've never played the game.

I disagree, the griz will not turn it around. The griz football program is circling the toilet bowl in a splendid death spiral.

No, Montana only has 2 NC's in football.

I thought Montana STATE might because we have so many, no, we have:
Football 3
Basketball 1
Men's rodeo 6
Women's rodeo 2
And you are going to love this ...
...Rifle 2!

14 total but none for Hurling

Yep, that 0-0 score garnering you a football National Championship is most impressive.

It's called a tie.

I thought you guys knew all about being co-champions.

Sure we do. The Griz have been co-champions many times but you guys are the co-champion experts! The Cats haven't been the outright BSC Champions since 1984. The Griz have been 10 times since then. Be sure to tell how wonderful it is to share the title so many times.
