Love it#14 seed vs Wisconsin in Denver, CO
Go Griz!
Over seeded in my opinionWhiskies going to be tough, especially after they just lost in the Big Ten Championship.
They beat the Cats in November by 13 but you might as well throw that game out the window.
Go Griz! Play like you own the place and stand up for the Big Sky!Love it
Wasn’t a 14 seed everyone’s wishI didn't exactly see a shudder go up the spines of any Badger player. Maybe they'll overlook that team from far west of the Great Plains.
We'll, some of you got your wish, a 14 seed. Thursday, in Denver. Will there be a Saturday game?
Agree. We have to get their bigs out from under the basket. I would consider isolating Te'Jon Sawyer on one of their bigs from the 3pt line and see if he can take them off the dribble. It's unconventional and Te'Jon has good handles and feet.Gonna be very hard to matchup with their size, but this is the first Griz team that I’ve felt had even an outside shot at an upset in a LONG time.
"Tonje is one of four UW players who have started all 35 games. He is joined by sophomore guard John Blackwell, senior forward Steven Crowl and sophomore forward Nolan Winter, who has played on through an injury scare in the regular season finale. Senior guard Max Klesmit has started 31 games, missing one game on Jan. 10 and three games from March 2-8 before he returned on March 13 for the Big Ten tournament." Missoulian. The one big guy just got back for them yesterday after missing about 10 games. Wonder if he’s at 100% or what level he’s playing at. That could potentially be helpful.
Relying too much on your big guys drawing fouls instead of outside shooting to get baskets actually hurts in this tournament because less fouls are called. I have not watched Wisconsin at all this year but have recently watched teams reliant on their all time great post players like Purdue Zach Eddey lose in round 1.Can’t deny, size is important. But it’s not the end of all.
The Warriors created a dynasty playing “small ball.” The three-point shot has been the great equalizer. If we can get hot from three, we’ll be in this game. We have the weapons to accomplish that.
We’re also an experienced team. That pre-season schedule will help. We won’t be fazed by the moment.
And our defense will surprise people.
Finally, if we can keep it close, the crowd will be with us.
