MBBALL The Seed for the BIG DANCE

14 seed Griz vs 3 seed Kentucky in Denver could be an interesting game
It sure looks like a two seed against Tennessee, Michigan State, St. John's, or Alabama. Anyone of those games is a daunting task. Thing's happen, but those are teams that just fell short of a number one seed. It's amazing the difference from playing a two or a three seed. I do think the team will battle til the last minute, and if it's close at halftime, they'll have a chance at making a good impression; and it's great for recruiting. I think a couple of years ago a 15 beat a two, and Virginia lost as one seed a few years back, but it's a bear of a game. I love our team, and I hope they win a game in the tournament, but shit, what a friggin' hill to climb. I will say, if they shoot 50-60%, they got a chance. Go Griz!

I think the GRIZ can get many teams into foul trouble. Our guards aren't afraid of drawing contact or size.

They weren't that aggressive until the last month. They've been damn good at it!

Yale up 5 at the half on Cornell. Cornell actually led the majority of the first half before Yale made a late run. Should be an interesting second half. If Cornell wins I think that should solidify the Griz as a 14.

Realistically, it's an uphill battle, no matter who we play. The Griz are gonna have to play an immaculate game to get out of the first round. I think they can, but will they? If they play consistently like they have lately, they Have a shot.

I'm not sure where the A-10 winner will be seeded. However, George Mason and VCU are as physical as any team in the nation. They're beating up each other! It's more like rugby than basketball.

I think that would’ve pushed us off the 14 line. Yale is slated as a 12 so if Cornell would’ve won I could’ve saw them getting a 14.

Apparently the word has gone out to the refs: "let them play." I don't know how many broadcast teams have said that, or something very like that, but it's been a lot. Almost invariably with great approval, even if a lot of plays (not called) look like public muggings to a generally impartial viewer. (In most games, we don't really have any particular team we might root for ... except possibly the underdog.)
